Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is expected to make his much-anticipated Presidential announcement sometime in the next few weeks.
But some Republican insiders are not excited about DeSantis entering the race.
And former RNC Chair Michael Steele offered Ron DeSantis six words of advice about running for President that he should ignore.
The press and RINO establishment are furious with CNN for hosting a town hall with Donald Trump.
Former RNC Chair Michael Steele appeared on MSNBC the day after Trump participated in a town hall meeting hosted by CNN.
Left-wing host Joy Reid kicked off the discussion by ripping CNN for “asking open questions to Donald Trump.”
Instead, Reid said Collins should have “ignored the audience and the format and tried to pin Trump down on each and every one of his false statements.”
Reid then turned to Michael Steele and said “God help your Party, because they were hooting and hollering, they were vicious, they were cruel, and they were unpleasant.”
“Why would anyone want to join a Republican Party like that?” she asked Steele.
“Everything you just said is exactly on point,” Steele said about Republicans being “cruel,” “vicious,” and “unpleasant.”
Steele also attacked CNN for allowing Trump to appear for a town hall.
“The first part is what CNN tried to do, and they succeeded at that,” Steele said. “They gave us exactly what they wanted to give us,” he continued, before adding that “they knew what this formula would result in.”
Steele called host Kaitlan Collins “the hapless victim placed in front of that crowd and in front of Trump.”
But then Steele turned the conversation to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
“Last night was really sort of the final nail in the coffin of the 2024 Republican Presidential Primary,” Steele said. “I’m sorry, Ron DeSantis, if you’re thinking about running for President and you’re on that stage with that man?” he said, before adding “then you ain’t ready, baby.”
“I’m sorry, you are not ready for that,” he added.
Steele said DeSantis plus “several other GOP hopefuls all fighting for time during a debate” will be like “shooting apples in a barrel” for Trump.
“Just picking ’em off one by one, and when do they have a chance to retort?” he said. “He takes them all out.”
Of course, Michael Steele endorsed Joe Biden over Donald Trump in 2020.
Steele is a RINO who only served as RNC Chairman for two years.
And that’s why Ron DeSantis should ignore his advice about not running for President.
