The political establishment in Washington, D.C.’s “Swamp” is trying to push former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley as the top alternative to former President Donald Trump in the Republican Presidential Primary.
Haley has received fawning attention from the media who claim she’s surging ahead of voting despite the fact she’s failed to crack double digits in virtually every poll.
The Haley campaign launched a new $10 million ad campaign in Iowa and New Hampshire, the first two GOP Primary contests, in a bid to overtake DeSantis and Trump.
The former South Carolina Governor is running to take the GOP back to the Bush era of 2004 and stepped up her attacks on DeSantis in recent weeks.
The DeSantis Presidential campaign fired back at Haley by pointing out the truth about her record.
“No amount of money will be enough for Nikki Haley to conceal her pro-China, pro-Gaza aid, pro-gas tax, and pro-Hillary record,” DeSantis communications director Andrew Romeo said. “As Americans look behind the curtain, they will see she does not have the extensive record of conservative achievements that Ron DeSantis boasts.”
The DeSantis campaign noted that a Des Moines Register poll found the second choice for GOP Presidential voters was overwhelming the Florida Governor over Haley.
41% of voters backing Trump would pick DeSantis as their second choice compared to 16% for Haley.
“It’s clear there is no way Nikki Haley can beat Donald Trump, and every dollar spent on her candidacy is an in-kind to the Trump Campaign,” Romeo continued. “Ron DeSantis has the best combination of endorsements, ground game, and message in the early states, which is why the former President continues to attack only him.”
“We are confident the Iowa voters will see who will best represent them and their values,” Romeo added.
Haley’s Presidential campaign is going nowhere so she’s trying to take down Trump’s strongest rival.
She has virtually no support in the conservative wing of the party that dominates Primaries giving her no path to the nomination.
DeSantis is the only candidate running that can unite every wing of the Republican Party.
Nikki Haley’s campaign is an establishment fantasy that they can wrestle away control of the GOP from conservatives.
