But House Speaker Kevin McCarthy offered Ron DeSantis four horrible words of advice about how to deal with Disney.
Ron DeSantis and Walt Disney have been at war since February of 2022 when CEO Bob Iger intervened in the battle over parental rights in education by trying to kill anti-grooming legislation.
Now Disney is pulling every dirty trick in the book to stop DeSantis from stripping the company of its special privileges.
Even though DeSantis is standing strong, establishment Republicans are starting to pressure him to back down and allow Disney to win.
During Thursday’s episode of CNBC Squawk Box, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy discussed the ongoing battle between Disney and DeSantis.
“There’s lots of folks, even in your own party who I think are uncomfortable about what’s happening here,” co-host Andrew Ross Sorkin said about DeSantis and Disney. “What do you think?” he asked McCarthy.
Of course, McCarthy recommended that DeSantis “sit down and negotiate” with Disney.
After all, McCarthy did not become Speaker of the House by taking on tough fights and standing on conservative principles.
“I’d give him the same advice I gave President Biden,” McCarthy said. “Why wouldn’t you sit down and negotiate and talk?”
He recommended DeSantis “find ways” to “solve this problem” outside of the courtroom.
“This is a big employer inside Florida,” McCarthy said. “I think the Governor should sit down with them.”
Woke Disney executives trashed Ron DeSantis and accused him of attacking the LGBT community during the battle over the Parental Rights in Education Bill last year in Florida.
The legislation Disney attempted to kill simply prohibits teaching sexually-inappropriate material to children in kindergarten through third grade.
The bill did not even contain the word homosexual or gay anywhere in the text.
Disney executives have not apologized for grooming young children with the Left’s woke gender insanity.
Instead, they’re pushing the Left’s woke transgender and homosexual agenda more than ever before.
Virtually any other Republican would have already caved in and backed down from the fight.
But Ron DeSantis is not like any other Republican.
He’s willing to stand and fight for his values.
And DeSantis is following through on his promise to hold Disney accountable for opposing parental rights.
