Donald Trump thinks he’s won Iowa.
But it’s not over yet – in fact – it hasn’t even started.
And while Iowa polls show Trump surging ahead – Ron DeSantis has a hidden weapon that no one saw coming.
The grassroots momentum
Ron DeSantis is laser-focused on Iowa – and Iowans are receptive to his campaign.
In fact, DeSantis has already earned a historic endorsement of 40 state legislators and has support from at least one county-level chair in every single county in Iowa.
DeSantis campaign spokeswoman Carly Atchison told Fox News Digital that “nobody is working harder in Iowa than Ron DeSantis” and boasted DeSantis has already visited 38 out of 99 counties in Iowa “more than anyone else in the race.”
The polls might point to Trump – and the influx of money spent to take down DeSantis might be flowing – but there’s a bigger picture in Iowa that other Presidential candidates seem to forget.
“You can’t buy the Iowa caucuses”
Every candidate hopes to win Iowa – and Super PACs are flooding the airwaves determined to take down DeSantis.
In fact, new reports show more money has been spent attacking Ron DeSantis than spent against both President Joe Biden and Donald Trump combined.
But money isn’t going to buy the election in Iowa.
Every seasoned political veteran knows in Iowa it’s all about the grassroots.
That’s why Ron DeSantis has steadily been working his way through Iowa determined to visit all 99 counties – and his hard work is paying off.
Iowa state Rep. Matt Windschitl who has already endorsed DeSantis highlighted just how strong DeSantis’ ground game in Iowa really is.
Fox News Digital reported Windschitl as saying, “I mean, you can’t turn on the TV without seeing the political ads from the super PACs and things like that. But you can’t buy Iowa and the caucuses.”
“You have to actually get out there through the grassroots. And I think with the governor not only having the boots on the ground, him personally and the first lady personally, but having support in all 99 counties with county chairs stepping up to say, ‘We’re going to help get some more people to go to the caucuses,’ having over 10,000 Iowans already committed to saying that, yes, they’re going to go to caucus for the governor, and we’re only five months away. I mean, that’s a big deal,” Windschitl continued.
Trump can only hold on so long
President Trump has accomplished many good things for the conservative movement – but he can’t live on his past accomplishments forever.
Iowans want to elect a President who will be a strong fighter for Life – protecting innocent babies at their most vulnerable state.
They want a candidate that is not only conservative – but one that has enough support to actually beat Joe Biden.
A lot can happen between now and January 15 – and with Ron DeSantis’ secret weapon of quietly working Iowa to mobilize supporters – it just might push him to victory come Caucus Day.
