America’s political and cultural institutions are dominated by leftists.
Many Americans are rightly concerned.
And jaws dropped when Ron DeSantis exposed the dirty truth behind the Left’s dangerous “woke” ideology.
Like Donald Trump, one of the reasons why Ron DeSantis is wildly popular with Republican voters nationwide is his willingness to stand up and take on the radical Left and their allies in the corporate-controlled press.
And on Friday, during a speech at the Common Sense Society’s gala in Palm Beach, Ron DeSantis exposed the real motivation behind the radical Left’s “woke” ideology.
“It is, wokeness, a form of cultural Marxism,” DeSantis said.
“The goal is to delegitimize the founding of this country. The principles that the founders relied on. Our institutions . . . our Constitution. To tear basically at the fabric of our society. To replace it with effectively left-wing ideology as the founding ethos of America,” DeSantis continued.
“That would be a disaster,” DeSantis added.
DeSantis then ripped the Democrats’ top priorities – like expanding the Supreme Court, ramming through a federal takeover of elections, and granting statehood to Washington, D.C. – saying they were not issues that “many Americans are talking about at their kitchen table.”
“That is an agenda of an ideological movement that wants to render the conservative half of the country second-class citizens,” DeSantis said. “They are playing for keeps. This is a very vicious ideology. And it requires us to understand what’s right and true,” DeSantis continued, before encouraging activists to show “backbone” and “courage” in resisting the Left.
“When society is unmoored from the truth, those who speak the truth are going to earn the wrath of those who are defending the discredited regime,” DeSantis said.
And even though he has “earned the wrath of the woke Left,” DeSantis said he has defeated them “time and time again.”
DeSantis also blasted Anthony Fauci, citing former President Dwight Eisenhower’s farewell address where he warned that “there was a danger that public policy could be hijacked by a scientific and technological elite.”
“He warned against that. He said that the job of a statesman is not to allow policy to be hijacked by people like Anthony Fauci,” DeSantis said.
“The job of statesmanship is to harmonize all the competing interests of society, all the things that make society function and weave them into a coherent policy,” he added.
Of course, Ron DeSantis stood up to Biden and Facui’s COVID tyranny during the pandemic.
He refused to enforce economy-crushing lockdowns, kept schools open, and banned mask and vaccine mandates in the Sunshine State.
He also promoted life-saving monoclonal antibodies as an effective, early treatment against COVID.
Because of this, DeSantis said that Florida is now the “vanguard” of freedom “not just in the United States, but around the world.”
“Florida heeded Ike’s admonition,” DeSantis said. “We protected people’s freedoms. And we kept our society functioning. And the result is we are better for it,” he added.
