The lockdowns and forced closures during the pandemic wreaked havoc on the American economy.
But the lockdowns wrecked more than just the economy.
And Jeremy Redfern revealed one photo from 2020 that will have Donald Trump fuming.
Ron DeSantis catapulted onto the national scene during the pandemic when he reopened the state for business and banned Biden’s mask and vaccine mandates.
Republicans all across the country rallied behind the Governor as he made Florida an “oasis of freedom” for the rest of the world.
Even though it’s been a couple of years since the pandemic ended, voters have not forgotten about the economy-crushing lockdowns and unconstitutional vaccine mandates.
Ron DeSantis is working hard to remind voters of some unfortunate truths about Donald Trump’s response to COVID.
The Florida Governor previously ripped Trump for deferring to Anthony Fauci during the pandemic.
“So, this situation was an existential threat to our state, but I made the judgment,” DeSantis previously said. “Leaders take the bull by the horns and make the decisions for themselves,” he continued, before adding that “they don’t subcontract out their leadership to health bureaucrats like Dr. Fauci.”
“I would have fired somebody like Fauci,” DeSantis told Piers Morgan. “I think he got way too big for his britches, and I think he did a lot of damage.”
Trump responded to DeSantis’ original attacks by accusing him of attempting to “rewrite history.”
But DeSantis Press Secretary Jeremy Redfern posted a photo taken during the pandemic when Donald Trump was still in office.
Redfern responded to the announcement that Trump was skipping the debates by sharing a 2020 photo taken from Arlington National Cemetery.
“I wouldn’t want to do any debates if this is what I did to Gold Star families at our country’s national cemeteries, either,” he wrote.

DeSantis Rapid Response Director Christina Pushaw added context to the photo of a woman taking a photo from her car window because the cemetery was shut down for the pandemic.
“Here’s an explanation of this photo, since media / Con Inc tried to memory-hole COVID: When the Trump Administration shut down Arlington National Cemetery, those that had a scheduled funeral were forced to stay in their cars instead of saying one last goodbye to their loved one,” Pushaw wrote.

In another comment, Pushaw wrote that “the Trump Administration’s federal COVID restrictions ‘stripped [WWII Veteran Calvin] Horman’s May 20 funeral of the honors he had bestowed on thousands before him. There was no rifle salute. No seated gathering with words from an honor guard chaplain. No folding of the flag. No solemn presentation of the flag and three spent rifle casings to the family.’”

Donald Trump accused DeSantis of trying to “rewrite history.”
But a picture is worth a thousand words.
And the picture Redfern posted speaks volumes about the destruction caused by the pandemic policies of Donald Trump.
