Joe Biden has said several times that he is running for President in 2024 because he is the only Democrat who can defeat Donald Trump.
But Donald Trump is no longer the GOP frontrunner.
And Joe Biden saw one set of poll numbers that made him worried sick about Ron DeSantis running for President.
Now that the Midterm elections are out of the way, Americans are turning their focus on the 2024 Presidential election.
So far, Donald Trump is the only candidate to officially announce a 2024 White House bid.
Joe Biden says that he is running for a second term because he is the only one who can stop Donald Trump from becoming President again.
However, at 80, Joe Biden is already the oldest President in American history.
If Biden gets re-elected to a second term, he will be 86-years-old by the time he leaves the White House.
Of course, Joe Biden is already suffering from severely declining mental and physical abilities.
Biden repeatedly appears lost or confused on stage when speaking, forgets names and places, and is unable to properly read from a teleprompter without making mistakes.
Americans are concerned about Joe Biden’s mental faculties, which is why polls show the majority of voters want him to step aside and pass the torch to someone else in two years.
Even the majority of Democrat voters believe Joe Biden should not seek a second term.
But Joe Biden’s argument that he is the only one who can defeat Donald Trump is moot based on the latest polls.
Prior to the Midterm elections, Donald Trump dominated the Republican Presidential Primary polls, with Ron DeSantis coming in second.
But DeSantis’ 19-point landslide victory made him the new frontrunner in the polls.
And now a new poll shows DeSantis tied with Joe Biden in a hypothetical 2024 matchup.
Marquette University Law School released a national poll showing DeSantis and Biden tied at 42 percent among registered voters, with 11 percent saying they would vote for someone else and 4 percent saying they would not vote at all.
But in a head-to-head matchup against Trump, Biden leads the former President by a margin of 44 to 34.
Joe Biden’s main argument for seeking a second term has been his belief that he is the only one who can stop Donald Trump.
But Ron DeSantis is surging in the polls as he becomes more and more popular with GOP voters nationwide.
And DeSantis rising to the top is taking away Joe Biden’s only argument for another term.
