Kamala Harris thought she could turn the page on the 2024 Election.
But she still has a nasty problem on her hands.
And Kamala Harris’ campaign was accused of being involved in one illegal act in Florida.
Planned Parenthood broke the law by giving workspace to Kamala Harris’ campaign
Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, finds itself in the middle of another scandal.
A pro-life group accused a Planned Parenthood location in Sarasota, Florida of allowing Vice President Kamala Harris’ Presidential campaign and the local Democrat Party to use space at their facility.
A pro-life group, 40 Days for Life, which conducts prayer outside abortion providers lodged a complaint with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) that Planned Parenthood Florida engaged in “potentially prohibited political activities that may impact the tax-exempt status” of the group.
IRS rules strictly limit the political activity of groups like Planned Parenthood which accept tax-deductible contributions.
40 Days for Life CEO Shawn Carney told Fox News Digital that his group’s prayerful protests outside of Planned Parenthood buildings let them notice wrongdoing.
“This is one of the many violations we’ve seen Planned Parenthood do, because we’re physically at these abortion facilities, holding peaceful vigils and offering medical alternatives to abortion,” Carney said. “And so because we’re out there, you know, at over 1700 locations, we see a lot of things that Planned Parenthood does.”
Carney said that his group saw the Kamala campaign operating out of the Sarasota Planned Parenthood building.
Florida was not considered a swing state in the 2024 Election so the campaign likely would not spend resources on something like renting office space.
Tim Walz night at the local Planned Parenthood
Members of 40 Days for Life noticed an event promoting Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was being held at the Sarasota Planned Parenthood.
“This was clearly noticeable,” Carney explained. “They were giving out flyers that said Tim Walz Tuesdays, which doesn’t sound like the greatest time in the world, but nevertheless, they were promoting all these events of hosting Walz Harris campaign events and providing their space to do that, which, of course, they did not do for the Republicans.
“And you just can’t do that as a 501c3. This is very, very basic,” Carney added.
The IRS complaint accused the Sarasota County Democratic Party of hosting an event for the Kamala campaign.
A Harris-Walz sign was seen in the Planned Parenthood building and people went inside to make phone calls for the campaign.
“Planned Parenthood’s activities appear to constitute prohibited political activities. They clearly advocate for one party and particular candidates,” 40 Days for Life’s complaint read. “I.R.C. Sec. 527 categorizes entities such as campaign committees and political action committees involved in state, federal or local office candidacies as political organizations. The Democratic Party and the Harris-Walz 2024 presidential campaign fall under this classification.”
Carney noted that Kamala and Planned Parenthood’s attempt to use abortion to their political advantage during the election was a failure.
“The pro-abortion angle of running on celebrating abortion was a dismal failure for the Harris-Waltz campaign,” Carney said.
He is hopeful that the Trump administration will make sure that Planned Parenthood follows the law and acts on the complaint.
