The radical Left has declared Ron DeSantis their number-one enemy.
They’re even going after anyone in the press who associates with the Florida Governor.
And left-wing activists are trying to cancel Laura Ingraham because they are so terrified of Ron DeSantis.
The anticipation is growing ahead of Ron DeSantis’ expected plunge into the 2024 Republican Presidential Primary contest.
Although DeSantis refuses to offer any verbal hint about his decision, he is filling up his schedule with a lot of out-of-state travel to key GOP primary states.
He also just released his memoir, The Courage to be Free, which hit the number-one spot on Amazon’s top 100 list after its release on Tuesday.
Last weekend, Ron DeSantis also held a closed-door “Freedom Blueprint” retreat at a luxury hotel in Palm Beach, Florida with more than 100 donors, elected officials, and conservative influencers.
“The attendees included former Trump chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton and Texas-based donor Roy Bailey, a former member of Trump’s national finance committee,” the Associated Press reported. “Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt and Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee were also in attendance, along with Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, Utah Sen. Mike Lee, Texas Rep. Chip Roy and Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie.”
Fox News Channel’s Laura Ingraham also attended the event, where she hosted a fireside chat-style interview with DeSantis.
And now the radical Left is demanding Laura Ingraham be punished by Fox News for attending the event with DeSantis.
“Fox News host Laura Ingraham helped Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis this past weekend by participating in a retreat for his donors,” the left-wing site Media Matters reported. “Her assistance for the likely presidential candidate, which appears to violate Fox’s policy, comes as former President Donald Trump escalates his attacks against DeSantis.”
Media Matters is referring to a statement Fox News executives released in November of 2018 after the Left erupted into a fury when Sean Hannity and Jeanine Pirro attended events for Donald Trump.
In the statement, Fox News executives said the network “does not condone any talent participating in campaign events.”
Since DeSantis’ political committee, Friends of Ron DeSantis, reportedly organized the weekend gathering in Palm Beach, the left-wing activists at Media Matters are calling on network executives to punish Laura Ingraham.
Laura Ingraham did nothing wrong by attending an event with DeSantis on a weekend.
Of course, leftists at Media Matters know this is the case.
But they are terrified of Ron DeSantis because he has proven his willingness and his ability to fight – and win – battles against the Left that other Republicans refuse to touch.
