The left-wing media paints Ron DeSantis as a “dictator” who wants to impose “fascism” on Florida.
But the people who actually live in Florida disagree.
And leftists will be triggered when they find out how one county in Florida just voted to honor Governor Ron DeSantis.
When Florida Governor Ron DeSantis made the bold decision to stand up to Joe Biden and Anthony Fauci’s lockdowns and vaccine mandates during the pandemic, the left-wing media viciously attacked him every step of the way.
Nightly news reports were filled with horror stories about how tens of thousands of Floridians were expected to die because Governor Ron “DeathSantis” refused to shut down the state and impose masks and vaccine mandates.
Of course, time has proven the left-wing media was wrong about DeSantis, as Florida is weathering the storm of the Biden economy much better than other states with strict rules and mandates in place.
The left-wing media also accused DeSantis of bullying school children and labeled him “anti-gay” over his support for parental rights in education.
But the people who actually live in Florida saw through the lies and smears are appreciative of his willingness to stand and fight for their freedoms.
And residents in Manatee County, Florida, recently showed how much they appreciate DeSantis in one unbelievable way.
Earlier this year, Manatee County Commissioners allowed residents to vote on a name for the newly-constructed 17-acre park that opens next year.
The new park will feature walking trails, a dog park, and pickleball courts.
Out of more than 350 submissions, including “Snooty Park,” “Tallevast Community Park,” and “Prospect Preserve,” Ron DeSantis had the most votes.
“I will tell you that the people have spoken,” Commissioner Vanessa Baugh said at the time. “It is time for us to move forward and name this park. They want to see it named after our Governor,” she continued, before adding that “it’s not even close.”
On Tuesday, after months of petty debate, Manatee County Commissioners voted 4-3 to officially name it “Governor Ron DeSantis Park.”
Commissioner James Satcher previously said that residents chose to name it the “Ron DeSantis Park” as a “a tribute to the Governor’s firm stance against COVID lockdowns and mask rules.”
Commissioner Baugh agreed with Satcher’s previous comments.
“I do support naming the park the Governor Ron DeSantis Park because I think, in the last couple of years, he has truly earned that right in Manatee County,” Baugh said.
The left-wing media spent the past two years smearing and bashing Ron DeSantis on a near-daily basis.
But despite their best efforts, DeSantis remains popular with Florida voters.
And “Governor Ron DeSantis Park” will open next year in Manatee County as a token of appreciation for his leadership.
