Lindsey Graham was fuming after Ron DeSantis made this one promise about implementing a military draft

Ron DeSantis finished second place in the Iowa Caucus on Monday.

The Florida Governor was back on the campaign trail on Tuesday for a rally in Greenville, South Carolina.

And Lindsey Graham was fuming after Ron DeSantis made this one promise about implementing a military draft.

Ron DeSantis finished second in the Iowa Caucus on Monday with 21.2% support followed by Nikki Haley at 19.1%.

Donald Trump finished 30-points ahead of DeSantis with 51% of the vote.

After failing to deliver on his promise to win the Iowa Caucus, Ron DeSantis hit the campaign trail to meet with voters at a rally in Greenville, South Carolina.

Congressman Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Chip Roy (R-TX) joined DeSantis in Greenville for a town hall meeting.

During his speech, DeSantis pointed to a veteran in the crowd and thanked him for his service.

“Thank you for your service, God Bless you my man,” DeSantis said from the audience.

DeSantis turned the discussion to the United States military and informed the crowd that he was the only veteran running for President.

“I am the only veteran running, I’d be the first President elected since 1988 who served in a foreign war,” DeSantis said. “It used to be that almost every President had served through most of our history, and I think it would be good to have a vet back.”

DeSantis said veteran issues would be a top priority for his administration.

“Part of it is just the fact that I volunteered to serve when I had a lot of other opportunities after 9/11,” he said. “I believe in this country, and I felt that I needed to do my part when our nation was in conflict.”

“It just shows that throughout my adult life I’ve put service above self, and to me, that’s what leadership is all about,” he added. “You’ve gotta be willing to take the arrows for the people you’re representing.”

The military is currently facing a recruitment crisis after Joe Biden turned it into a woke armed forces.

“Now I look, and I have veterans come up to me saying they would not want their kids or grandkids to join the military today because of what’s going on there, and that’s a tragedy, but that’s a widespread feeling that I hear all across the country,” DeSantis said. “And I think it’s because, you know, people, a lot of civilians, but even some of the brass, they’re using the military to advance a social agenda; there’s woke ideology there.”

DeSantis vowed to remove all the politics and the woke from the military, which he said would lead to “an increase in morale” and “an increase in recruiting.”

Even though DeSantis is an ardent supporter of the armed forces, he still believes it’s critical to remain an all-volunteer military.

DeSantis’ opposition to a military draft will send warmonger Lindsey Graham into a fit of rage.

“If you just start drafting people, I mean, there’s a lot of folks that don’t have the physical standards,” DeSantis said. “There’s a lot, I mean, I think there would be a lot of problems with that,” he continued, before adding “so we need to recruit in the all-volunteer force.”
