There is no elected Republican official who the left-wing media despises more than Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
The media spent the past three years attacking and smearing DeSantis on a near-daily basis.
But Piers Morgan just said four words about Ron DeSantis that caught everyone by surprise.
The Democrats and the left-wing media tried to turn Ron DeSantis into a villain when he rejected Joe Biden and Anthony Fauci’s pandemic lockdowns and mandates.
They labeled him “Ron DeathSantis” and essentially accused him of murder because he refused to force Floridians to mask up and get vaccinated.
Of course, time proved that DeSantis made the right decision.
But that did not stop the media from waging war on the Governor.
DeSantis sent the Democrats and the media into a frenzy when he stood up to the radical Left and declared that “Florida is where woke goes to die.”
Democrats accused DeSantis of everything from racism to trying to harm women and members of the LGBT community when he took on the woke agenda.
After three years of constant attacks from the media, DeSantis has thick skin and the smears do not bother him.
But in a rare moment, a left-wing media personality just showered Ron DeSantis with praise for his leadership during Hurricane Idalia.
Fox Business host Piers Morgan mentioned the difference between Joe Biden’s response to the fire in Hawaii and DeSantis’ response to the hurricane.
Morgan ripped Biden for saying he had “no comment” to make when a reporter asked him about the tragedy in Hawaii.
He then contrasted Biden’s lackluster response to that of DeSantis.
“I’ve been really impressed,” Morgan said. “I think Ron DeSantis just basically said ‘forget politics, put all that to one side.’ He got up at 4 o’clock in the morning and he kept pounding that beat, he was on television all day.”
Morgan continued, saying that “it’s why he’s so popular as a governor and why he’s been so successful — HE GETS STUFF DONE. He didn’t play politics. He welcomed the President calling him. He talked about that. But nowhere did I hear him blame anything.”

Morgan is right about DeSantis’ leadership during the recovery efforts.
Within 48 hours of Idalia making landfall as a Category 3 storm, DeSantis announced that power had been restored to more than 476,000 customers.
DeSantis was in the spotlight with Hurricane Idalia making landfall in the middle of his Presidential campaign.
And his leadership abilities even earned the praise of left-wing media personalities like Piers Morgan.
