Rachel Morin was a mother of five jogging a Maryland trail when a Biden-released illegal alien beat her to death with a rock and left her in a drainage ditch – and the man who did it had already crossed the border four times.
Last Sunday in Mulberry, Florida, a 24-year-old Guatemalan illegal alien named Gudiel Miguel-Vasquez got behind the wheel drunk, plowed through a stop sign in a Walmart parking lot, slammed into a motorcyclist, and drove away – leaving the victim bleeding in the parking lot with a broken arm and a concussion.
What happened next is exactly why Florida is doing this right – and why Grady Judd is the sheriff every American deserves.
Drunk, Unlicensed, Illegal – and Fleeing
Miguel-Vasquez didn't stop.
Witnesses watched him keep driving through the parking lot with the front of his Scion crumpled from the impact.
Deputies spotted his car a short distance away – no front bumper, smoke rising from the engine – and when they walked up to the window, Miguel-Vasquez told them straight out he had no driver's license.
Inside the car, deputies found two more passengers and a collection of open Modelo beer cans.
All three men were drunk.
All three were in the United States illegally.
Miguel-Vasquez was booked into the Polk County Jail facing charges of DUI, DUI with property damage, leaving the scene of a crash with injury, and driving without a valid license.
And here's what most states would do next: process him, set bail, release him, watch him vanish.

Florida Plays by Different Rules Now
Sheriff Grady Judd had four words for it: "another example of this."
The full quote: "Here's another example of someone who is here illegally and with no regard for our laws – driving without a license, driving while impaired, and hitting someone then fleeing."
Then Judd said what needs to happen: deport him back to Guatemala where he can't victimize anyone else here.
That's law enforcement doing its job.
Florida made that job easier when Governor DeSantis signed sweeping immigration legislation in early 2025 – every misdemeanor charge committed by an illegal alien now gets upgraded one degree automatically, meaning Miguel-Vasquez's charges carry felony-level weight.
The two passengers walked away with open container citations – and ICE detainers.
DHS has an immigration hold on all three of them.
Polk County Has Been Here Before – Repeatedly
This isn't the first time Sheriff Judd has stood in front of a camera explaining why an illegal alien just hurt someone in his county.
In August 2025, another illegal alien – this one from Nicaragua – was arrested after a drunk hit-and-run in Polk County, crashing into a fence and fleeing on foot.
That man blew a 0.13 BAC.

Judd called him "a coward for walking away from the scene and responsibility."
Same county. Same pattern. Same sheriff cleaning up the mess.
And Judd isn't just talking – his office arrested 557 illegal aliens in Polk County in 2025 and received more than $1 million in state reimbursements for immigration enforcement through the 287(g) program, the largest payout of any county in Florida.
Florida as a whole now has 327 active 287(g) partnership agreements with ICE – a 577 percent increase since Trump took office in January 2025.
ICE Miami Field Office Director Garrett Ripa put it plainly after wrapping a 400-arrest Central Florida operation last fall: "The days of allowing illegal aliens to disregard our laws and pose a threat to our communities, our roads, and our economy are over."
This Is What Democrats Protected
Biden's open border didn't just import millions of people.
It imported millions of people with no driver's licenses, no insurance, no accountability, and no reason to stay at the scene after they hit someone.
The motorcyclist lying in that Walmart parking lot in Mulberry with a broken arm never voted for open borders.
He just got handed the bill for someone else's ideology.
Miguel-Vasquez is sitting in jail right now because Polk County cooperates with ICE, Florida upgraded its laws, and Grady Judd runs a sheriff's office that doesn't look the other way.
In Chicago or Minneapolis, he would have been released.
Trump's enforcement push and Florida's enhanced penalty laws exist precisely for this moment – to make sure that when an illegal alien makes himself a criminal, he faces consequences that actually mean something.
