The adage “Think before you speak” is one that Joe Biden clearly doesn’t follow.
Some of the things that come out of his mouth are bizarre, while others are downright awful.
And Ron DeSantis called out Joe Biden for this infuriating joke.
Florida was recently devastated by hurricane Idalia.
Families lost their homes as a result of the storm.
Yet Joe Biden seemed to think this was a good time to joke about homelessness.
During an interview on Fox News, Biden said “I know I’m on vacation but I’m not. I have no home to go to. The Secret Service has torn my house up — in a good way, to make it secure. So I have no place to go when I come to Delaware except here… No, I’m not homeless. I just have one home. I have a beautiful home. I’m down here for the day because I can’t go home, home.”
Joe Biden is so out of touch that he is equating having to stay at his expensive vacation home to actual homelessness.
Ron DeSantis ripped into Biden in response.
“I didn’t actually hear he had said that… To be there when people displaced by a hurricane are showing up for the first time, seeing their home that had been under six feet of water. Some of the homes in Horseshoe Beach got washed away, they’re now in the water. That hits you in the gut, it is just a major, major gut punch. And you see the anguish in peoples’ faces,” DeSantis told Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany.
This is the second time in just a few weeks that Joe Biden made insensitive comments following a major disaster.
When visiting Maui, Biden joked about “the ground being hot” and compared a small kitchen fire in his home to what the people in Maui were going through.
If any Republican made light of disasters that caused human suffering the way Joe Biden did, you would never hear the end of it.
But since he’s a Democrat, the media will largely ignore it.
It really does show just how little Joe Biden cares about the average American.
