Ron DeSantis exited the Presidential race with one quote that made Budweiser executives chuckle

Ron DeSantis threw in the towel on Sunday and ended his bid for the 2024 GOP nomination.

He endorsed Donald Trump and slammed Nikki Haley on his way out.

And Ron DeSantis exited the Presidential race with one quote that made Budweiser executives chuckle.

Ron DeSantis turned the Republican Presidential Primary into a two-person race between former President Donald Trump and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley on Sunday by dropping out of the race.

In a post on X, DeSantis shared a video of him informing his supporters that he had suspended his campaign and exited the Presidential race.

“Greetings from Florida, the warmth of being home is a reminder of why I’ve chosen public service,” DeSantis said. “This is America’s time for choosing. We can choose to allow a border invasion, or we can choose to stop it. We can choose reckless borrowing and spending, or we can choose to limit government and lower inflation. We can choose political indoctrination, or we can choose classical education.”

DeSantis admitted that he had “no real path to victory,” assuring his supporters that “if there was anything I could do to produce a favorable outcome, I would do it.”

On the same platform where he launched his Presidential bid, DeSantis closed the books on 2024 and announced that “I am today suspending my campaign.”

And unfortunately for DeSantis, it also ended the same way it began, in embarrassment.

When DeSantis launched his campaign last May, he made his announcement on the social media platform Twitter (now X).

But the launch turned into a total disaster after Twitter’s servers crashed multiple times and created a giant hiccup for his team.

“Glitchy. Tech issues. Uncomfortable silences. A complete failure to launch. And that’s just the candidate!” Trump spokesman Steven Cheung told NBC News at the time.

Joe Biden even turned the launch disaster into a fundraising pitch on Twitter.

But on Sunday, DeSantis embarrassed himself once again when he attempted to quote Winston Churchill.

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts,” DeSantis wrote, attributing the words to Winston Churchill.

However, the quote is not from Winston Churchill.

It comes from a 1938 Budweiser ad.

And social media users were quick to point out that DeSantis had attributed Budweiser’s words to Winston Churchill.

Ron DeSantis entered the race and left the race with a campaign blooper.
