Ron DeSantis has a new plan to help more first responders achieve the American Dream

Joe Biden’s failed Presidency has sent the price of everything from groceries to gas through the roof.

Many Americans are struggling.

But Ron DeSantis has a new plan to help more first responders achieve the American Dream.

Ron DeSantis is working hard to protect Floridians from the devastating effects of Joe Biden’s disastrous Presidency.

During the pandemic, Ron DeSantis fought back against Biden and Fauci’s COVID tyranny, refusing to enforce lockdowns and banning masks and vaccine mandates in the Sunshine State.

Because Desantis turned Florida into a beacon of freedom during the pandemic, the Sunshine State is weathering Joe Biden’s economic storm much better than the rest of America.

“In April alone, Florida added another 57,000 jobs,” DeSantis said at a recent press conference. “That’s an increase of 0.7 percent, which is twice the rate of increase of the nation as a whole.”

And now Ron DeSantis just launched a new program designed to help first responders, teachers, nurses, and workers in 50 other professions live the American Dream by buying a home.

Called the Hometown Heroes Initiative, the $100 million program will be administered by the Florida Housing and Finance Corporation and will provide down payment and closing cost assistance to more than 50 professions.

“What we’re going to be doing today is announcing we are launching a hometown heroes initiative in the state of Florida to help these folks achieve homeownership,” DeSantis said at a press conference announcing the new initiative. “This is a hundred-million dollar program that will provide down payment and closing cost assistance to more than 50 different professions when buying their first home.”

Unlike Democrat-run states, DeSantis said “in Florida, we value the contributions of our police, firefighters, teachers, and nurses.”

“Our hometown heroes are the backbone of Florida communities and making sure that they can afford to be homeowners is a great way to give back to them and support the future of the American Dream,” he added.

DeSantis previously signed a bill granting a $5,000 signing bonus to law-enforcement officers who relocated to Florida.

During the press conference announcing the Hometown Heroes Initiative, DeSantis said the $5,000 bonus combined with assistance for buying a home would help the state recruit the best public servants to the Sunshine State.

“So they come here, any of our folks that are already here, people come and get the five-thousand dollar bonus,” he stated. “Then you are able to apply to be a home buyer. Five-percent or up to 25-thousand dollars of mortgage loan amount, you can get support from.”

In April, the 30-year mortgage rate hit 5%.

According to government-backed mortgage company Freddie Mac, 30-year fixed-rate mortgages rose 0.28% in a single week and nearly 2% since this April of last year.

Even though Joe Biden is doing his best to wreck the economy, Ron DeSantis continues to come up with new solutions to help keep the Sunshine State free and prosperous.
