Florida Governor Ron DeSantis tried to regain his footing in the Presidential campaign by pivoting to economic issues.
DeSantis tried to go right at one of Donald Trump’s strengths.
And Ron DeSantis has this one huge plan to destroy the globalist agenda.
Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign caught fire in part because Trump offered something different.
While Republicans spent decades preaching the virtues of globalist free trade deals Donald Trump ripped foolish leaders for allowing Communist China’s predatory policies to manipulate their currency and hollow out the American industrial base through agreements that shipped American jobs overseas.
As part of his 2024 reboot, DeSantis wants to adjust his presentation from culture warrior to economic champion for the forgotten men and women.
And that involves DeSantis promoting a plan to decouple America’s economy from Communist China.

Americans learned the hard way during COVID just how dangerous it was to depend on the Communist Chinese for medical supplies and drugs.
As part of DeSantis’ plan to win economic independence from the Communist Chinese, DeSantis would end Communist China’s most favored nation trade status, ban the import of goods from stolen intellectual property, and ban companies from sharing critical technology with Communist China.
“The elites sold us a bill of goods when it came to China. They were wrong, and we need to get it right,” DeSantis explained.
His fight over China will be a major flashpoint between Trump and Ron DeSantis.
DeSantis accused Trump of not being tough enough on the Communist Chinese.
Trump countered by pointing out that DeSantis opposed the tariffs Trump slapped on Chinese goods.
And as a member of Congress, DeSantis voted to give Barack Obama fast track authority to sign the globalist Trans Pacific Partnership trade agreement.
DeSantis failed to gain ground on Donald Trump by trying to hammer Trump as some kind of woke social moderate.
It remains to be seen if DeSantis can get to Trump’s right on confronting the Chinese Communist Party.
