Florida Governor Ron DeSantis wants to make it clear woke ideology has no place in Florida.
And DeSantis will fight to the end to make sure it stays that way.
Now Ron DeSantis is fighting one major court case that has George Soros pacing the floors at night.
Last August, Governor DeSantis suspended Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren after Warren pledged he would not enforce the state’s 15 week-abortion ban or any future law banning transgender surgeries for minor children.
Warren was also among the Soros-backed prosecutors who rejected pressing charges against Black Lives Matter terrorists following the insurrection in 2020.
Soros installed prosecutors like Warren in key offices across the country to push a pro-crime agenda under the woke lie that America’s criminal justice system was systemically racist.
DeSantis said Warren illegally usurped the Governor’s veto power and thus the state Constitution allowed DeSantis to remove Warren.
Warren sued and federal judge Robert Hinkle ruled that the courts did not have the power to reinstate Warren.
“The suspension also violated the Florida Constitution, and that violation did affect the outcome,” Hinkle state. “But the Eleventh Amendment prohibits a federal court from awarding declaratory or injunctive relief of the kind at issue against a state official based only on a violation of state law.”
“In sum, the transgender and abortion statements—with the exception of the one sentence in the abortion statement—were protected by the First Amendment,” Hinkle continued. “These other factors could not properly be the basis for a suspension under the Florida Constitution—there were no blanket non-prosecution policies, no neglect of duty, and no incompetence.”
However, Hinkle wrote that a violation of state did not rise to the level of a federal case saying “relief cannot be awarded in this federal action based solely on a violation of state law” and that it was “of critical importance: a violation of state law is not, without more, a violation of the United States Constitution.”
DeSantis’ office responded to the ruling by noting that the judge upheld DeSantis’ ability to suspend Warren.
“Today the court upheld the governor’s decision to suspend Andrew Warren from office for neglect of duty and incompetence,” DeSantis communications director Taryn Fenske wrote.
Now Warren is appealing the ruling.
“The idea that the Governor can get away with breaking federal and state law should offend anyone who believes in freedom—free speech, free elections, and that no one is above the law,” Warren ranted. “We’ve proven that DeSantis broke the law, and I’ll keep fighting until I’m back doing the work that the people elected me to do.”
Liberal cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Philadelphia deteriorated into crime-ridden hellscapes because Soros-backed prosecutors embraced dangerous policies like no cash bail and stopped enforcing laws against quality of life crimes.
And Ron DeSantis is determined that Soros will not gain a beachhead in Florida to push that dangerous agenda.
