And Ron DeSantis is visiting one state next week that has Donald Trump on the edge of his seat.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis may be silent about his plans for 2024, but he is making all the moves a potential candidate would make at this time.
Last week, DeSantis made surprise stops in New York City, Philadelphia, and Chicago to court law enforcement leaders.
On Tuesday, DeSantis released a new book and conducted a slew of interviews as part of a media tour promoting the memoir.
DeSantis is scheduled to headline two Republican fundraiser dinners in Texas on Saturday and will be in Orange County, California on Sunday for a $500-a-head reception before heading to Alabama next week to deliver the keynote address at the Alabama GOP dinner.
But DeSantis just scheduled the one trip every Republican candidate for President is required to make.
As the first-in-the-nation caucus state, Iowa is one of the most important states for Republicans to visit when campaigning.
“Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will make his eagerly anticipated Iowa debut next week with stops in Davenport and Des Moines as he flirts with an expected presidential run later this year,” the Des Moines Register reported. “An official familiar with the governor’s planning confirmed the stops to the Des Moines Register, saying DeSantis will appear with Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds at both events March 10.”
Iowa Republican Governor Kim Reynolds will attend both events and hold a conversation-style interview with Ron DeSantis.
Like DeSantis, Kim Reynolds also gained national attention during the pandemic for fighting against lockdowns and mask mandates.
Reynolds has also followed DeSantis’ lead in taking on the Left’s woke ideology by pushing to prohibit biological males from participating in women’s sports, as well as making parental rights in education a top focus of her agenda.
However, Reynolds is staying neutral during the primary battle and is offering guidance to every candidate who comes to Iowa.
Reynolds previously appeared with Presidential candidate Nikki Haley as well as South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, who is also rumored to be considering making a run for the White House.
Trump already has four senior staffers in Iowa building his on-the-ground operations ahead of the caucuses.
And on Tuesday, Donald Trump told WHO radio’s Simon Conway that he will be announcing a trip to the Hawkeye State “very soon.”
DeSantis continues to remain silent about his plans.
But his surprise trip to Iowa has Donald Trump on the edge of his seat.
