Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is wildly popular with GOP voters nationwide.
He’s facing his first reelection for Governor this fall.
And Ron DeSantis just became the first candidate in any state to reach this one major milestone.
There is a chance Ron DeSantis runs for President in 2024.
Polls show that if Donald Trump decides not to seek another term, Ron DeSantis would be the clear frontrunner to win the GOP nomination.
They also show both DeSantis and Trump beating Joe Biden in a hypothetical 2024 matchup.
This is why the radical Left is terrified of Ron DeSantis.
And it’s also why they viciously attack and smear DeSantis on a daily basis, just like they did Donald Trump during his four years in office.
However, before Ron DeSantis can even think about running for President in 2024, he must first get reelected to another term as Governor in November.
Agricultural Commissioner Nikki Fried and former Governor Charlie Crist are the top two Democrats seeking the opportunity to take on DeSantis this fall.
Polls show DeSantis leading both potential Democrat opponents by double digits in a hypothetical matchup.
But it’s not just polling data that suggest Democrats have no chance of taking out Ron DeSantis in November.
DeSantis is also crushing his Democrat opponents in fundraising, with CNN reporting that his campaign just passed the $100 million milestone in fundraising.
DeSantis is likely the only candidate in the entire country to pass the $100 million milestone solely through donations.
“He’s been asking for big licks – $5 million and $10 million per fundraiser – and he’s getting them and that’s a warning sign,” said Scott Reed, a veteran GOP operative and former top strategist for the US Chamber of Commerce. “DeSantis is the talk of every Republican cocktail party and every organizational meeting. His support spans the money class and the movement conservatives. And that’s a strong combination early in the game.”
DeSantis’ fundraising numbers are far higher than Charlie Crist, who is the top fundraiser among the Democrats.
While DeSantis just blew through the $100 million milestone, Charlie Crist just made a big deal about raising $1 million in one month.
Overall, Charlie Crist has raised just over $8 million, compared to DeSantis’ more than $100 million.
And Democrat Nikki Fried’s numbers are even lower.
Fried only raised $440,000 in March, which was her best month of the campaign.
With polls showing DeSantis crushing his potential Democrat opponents, and with him blowing them away in fundraising, the Left will need a miracle to defeat the Governor in November.
