Democrats fear Ron DeSantis more than any other elected Republican official in the country.
And for good reason.
Because Ron DeSantis just became the first Governor in American history to reach this one huge milestone.
In 2018, after Donald Trump’s endorsement catapulted him to victory in the Republican Primary, Ron DeSantis narrowly defeated Democrat Andrew Gillum by less than 30,000 votes (0.4%) in the General Election.
DeSantis is facing his first re-election for Governor today.
Since his victory in 2018, DeSantis has garnered rock star status in the Republican Party.
DeSantis’ pro-freedom COVID policies, his taking on and defeating the woke Left, and his public showdowns with the left-wing media have made him the most popular elected Republican official in America.
Outside of Donald Trump, no other Republican enjoys the level of support among GOP voters as Ron DeSantis.
Polls consistently show DeSantis is a top Presidential contender even if Donald Trump runs again.
Given his narrow victory in 2018, Democrats went into the race believing they had a good shot at making DeSantis a one-term Governor.
But Democrats quickly realized this was not the same DeSantis they took on in the last election.
DeSantis is wildly popular among Florida voters, with an approval rating in the mid-50s.
And as voters head to the voting booth today, polls show DeSantis is leading Democrat Charlie Crist by double digits.
But one of DeSantis’ most-impressive feats this election comes in the area of fundraising.
As of October 14, DeSantis reported bringing in $183.2 million, more than any Governor in American history.
DeSantis collected six-and-a-half dollars for every one dollar brought in by Charlie Crist, who raised just $28.4 million.
The Florida Governor has more than proven that his massive popularity translates into fundraising success.
But what really has Democrats and the media terrified is the fact that DeSantis barely even dipped into his coffers this race.
DeSantis is currently sitting on nearly $100 million in the bank.
Not only that, but he also has at least one donor from every state.
DeSantis is a rising star in the Republican Party.
And the nearly $100 million he’s sitting on – $100 million he collected from donors in all 50 states – makes him a serious threat to the Democrats in 2024.
