The radical Left is ruthless.

They’re willing to harm innocent people if they believe it will damage their political enemies.

But Ron DeSantis just came through and delivered the first round of checks to tornado victims in Florida who Joe Biden refused to help.

Ron DeSantis became the top enemy of the Biden administration during the pandemic for his refusal to enforce Anthony Fauci’s lockdowns and mandates.

DeSantis kept businesses and schools open while also banning mask and vaccine mandates.

One of DeSantis’ effective strategies was his promoting the use of life-saving monoclonal antibodies as an effective early treatment against COVID.

But when DeSantis’ pro-freedom policies made the authoritarian Democrats look bad, the Biden administration decided to take its anger out on Ron DeSantis by punishing innocent people by cutting off shipments of monoclonal antibodies to Florida.

Then, after two counties in Florida were ripped apart by tornadoes, the Biden administration once again put politics ahead of the lives of innocent people by denying federal assistance to help the counties recover and rebuild.

There was no reason for FEMA to deny the federal assistance other than pure partisan politics.

Over 158 homes were either destroyed or sustained major damage, and more than 350 residents were displaced in the two Florida counties as a result of the tornadoes.

After FEMA rejected the request for assistance, Ron DeSantis vowed to find a way to help the victims who were abandoned by the Biden administration.

“Victims of these tornadoes in Southwest Florida deserve assistance to kickstart their recovery process,” DeSantis said. “Despite the Biden administration’s failure to help Floridians in need, I will continue working with state agencies to find ways that we can assist our residents who have been devastated by these tornadoes.”

DeSantis previously secured $7.1 million in state aid to help with the victims.

However, DeSantis also set up a portal for private individuals to step up and help out the residents displaced by the tornadoes.

DeSantis just announced that $1.1 million in aid was collected in contributions set up in the weeks since FEMA rejected a state request for support.

The first checks were just handed out to victims, with 43 initial applicants receiving checks in the amount of $10,000.

“While the federal government is still considering whether or not Floridians deserve assistance, we’ve been actively working to provide relief to these survivors,” DeSantis said. “This first round of checks, in addition to the other state programs we’ve made available, will help Southwest Florida continue through the recovery process.”

Ron DeSantis continues to step up and show real leadership even when hampered by the politics of the Biden administration.

And this is why DeSantis is wildly popular nationwide and is expected to win an easy re-election in November.
