Ron DeSantis just debunked the latest bogus attack against him in the most epic way possible

Ron DeSantis has replaced Donald Trump as the corporate-controlled media’s favorite whipping post.

The outrageous hit pieces are coming fast and furious.

And Ron DeSantis just debunked the latest bogus attack against him in the most epic way possible.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been targeted for destruction by Democrats and their media allies.

Each day, a new bogus story drops.

Most recently, faux historian Michael Beschloss compared Governor DeSantis to Italian socialist dictator Benito Mussolini, and said, “He has tried to turn himself into sort of a local Mussolini in Florida with the book banning and the brutal tactics and even this suggestion that bloggers have to register with the state… this is fascism and authoritarianism.”

None of that is even remotely true, but the part about DeSantis requiring bloggers to register with the state is especially easy to discredit.

One Florida state Senator recently unilaterally introduced such legislation, but Governor DeSantis – and the rest of the Republican-led state legislature, for that matter – quickly denounced the bill, saying “That’s not anything that I’ve ever supported. I don’t support it.”

The bill put forward by state Senator Jason Brodeur read in part, “Upon registering with the appropriate office, a blogger must file monthly reports on the 10th day following the end of each calendar month from the time a blog post is added to the blog, except that, if the 10th day following the end of a calendar month occurs on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, the report must be filed on the next day that is not a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday. If the blogger does not have a blog post on a blog during a given month, the monthly report for that month does not need to be filed.”

The bill was in reference to bloggers who were compensated for writing about the state government, not various members of the so-called “mainstream” media.

Nevertheless, DeSantis was not in any way in favor of the bill, and rightly so.

“It’s like, you know, every person in the legislature can file bills, right?” the Governor explained. “I see these people filing bills and then there’s articles with my face on the article saying that ‘Oh, they’re gonna have to — bloggers are gonna have to register for the state,’ and it’s like attributing it to me.”

These are the dirty tactics the press love to use against Republicans, especially conservatives who pose a serious threat to the ruling class elites’ house of cards.

Frankly, it’s media malfeasance designed to destroy and undermine conservative leaders.

“And I’m like, okay, that’s not anything that I’ve ever supported,” DeSantis added. “I don’t support it, I’ve been very clear about what we’re doing and so people have a right to file legislation. They have a right to do different types of amendments and all that other stuff, but [state legislators] have independent agency to be able to do things. I don’t control every single bill that has been filed.”

Democrats are so desperate to land a glove on Ron DeSantis, they are manufacturing stories to make him look like a dictator.
