Ron Desantis just made one call that left Donald Trump grinning from ear to ear.

State leaders are preparing to make way for President Donald Trump’s new immigration agenda.

Among those leaders, Ron Desantis has led the charge in advocating for the coming policy changes.

And Desantis just made one call that left Trump grinning from ear to ear.

Desantis Calls for State level Officers

Florida Governor Ron Desantis has been a sturdy opponent of the open-door policy of the Biden-Harris Administration.

He has been proactive in implementing policies to combat the increase in crime due to the exodus of unchecked illegals into the Sunshine State.

In his most recent effort, he has implemented and has called for other states to have an immigration liaison to assist in the implementation of Trump’s agenda.

He said to a reporter “We are going to be appointing a state immigration officer that will be dedicated to overseeing the coordination with federal authorities and Florida’s existing program.”

This liaison will allow for a smooth and efficient transition into the new policies supporting President Trump’s immigration agenda.

Desantis has called on state and local officers to hold up their end and enforce all federal laws.

He also took this opportunity to call for reforms to education and voting, calling for a requirement of affirmation of U.S. Citizenship and Florida residency, and for stronger gang enforcement measures.

State Leaders Prepare for the New Sheriff in Town

DeSantis’ move may be vital to the execution of the Trump administration’s immigration agenda.

And Desantis has been in close contact with Trump and his transition team as he prepares to take the opportunity to provide leadership to all state officials in enforcing these changes.

Following a meeting over a game of golf at Mar-a-Lago, Desantis called for a special legislative session on January 27 to convene with other state leaders to better implement Trump’s immigration agenda.

This session marks the first step to creating a unified legislative state and assuring each state leader has a firm understanding of the coming changes.

Desantis has made it known that he has the intention of leading all other states in the successful implementation of the coming policy changes.

He stated, “We have a new sheriff coming in town, nationally,” he continued, “As Florida leads working with the feds, other states will follow suit, and we will create a healthy competition to get things done.”

Like most states, not all state leaders are in stride with DeSantis’ willing excitement.

RINO House Senate President Ben Albritton (R-FL) and House Speaker Daniel Perez (R-FL) claimed that the move was “premature” in a letter to state lawmakers.

Both were critical of the timing and necessity for a meeting regarding immigration enforcement.

Albritton and Perez Wrote “When it comes to immigration, we are strong supporters of President Trump and stand ready to follow his lead,” but added that they are “not aware of any specific guidance provided to the states about actions state legislatures can take to support forthcoming federal action.”

DeSantis is loading up to help Trump fight back against the immigration crisis.
