Ron DeSantis just revealed one disturbing difference between Donald Trump and Joe Biden’s border policies

The border crisis is out of control.

Illegal immigration threatens the safety and security of every man, woman, and child in America.

And Ron DeSantis just revealed one disturbing difference between Donald Trump and Joe Biden’s border policies.

On his first day in office, Joe Biden began reversing all of Donald Trump’s successful America First immigration policies.

Biden halted construction on Trump’s border wall, suspended all deportations for at least 100 days, and vowed to grant amnesty to any illegal alien who made it into the country.

And the results have been catastrophic, as record-breaking numbers of illegal aliens are flooding across the border on a daily basis.

One of the most important actions Trump took as President was ending Barack Obama’s dangerous “catch and release” policy, which forced Border Patrol agents to release any illegal aliens they arrest back into the United States.

But Joe Biden brought back the dangerous “catch and release” policy on his first day in office.

Since then, the Biden administration has released hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens into the country.

During the month of April alone, more than 100,000 illegal aliens were released into the United States.

Now Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is doing everything he can to protect his state from the disastrous consequences of Biden’s open borders agenda.

At a recent press conference where DeSantis announced he had secured the funds to reroute any illegal aliens dumped off in Florida to Joe Biden’s home state of Delaware, he revealed one disturbing fact about the current administration’s catch and release program.

“We’ve done a lot with fighting Biden on the border,” DeSantis began. “We’re currently suing him in the Panhandle, and we’re winning the case about catch and release,” DeSantis continued, adding that Biden “shouldn’t be able to release people.”

DeSantis is referring to the lawsuit Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody filed against Joe Biden over his dangerous catch and release program.

But what Ron DeSantis said next will terrify most Americans.

“When Trump was President and I was Governor, some people are in our prison system who are illegal and have like 20-year sentences, 10-year sentences, some of them committed really bad crimes,” DeSantis said. “Well, when they finish their sentence, we can’t legally hold them anymore, so we let ICE know, they pick them up, and then they send them back,” he continued, adding that “and that’s the way it should be.”

DeSantis said under President Trump, criminal illegal aliens were automatically deported to their home country after they finished their sentencing.

But not under Joe Biden.

“Biden will release a lot of these people, even coming out of our prison system,” DeSantis said.

DeSantis concluded by promising to go after any contractors who hired illegal aliens, and also doubling down on his promise to bus illegals dropped off in Florida to Biden’s home state of Delaware.

“I’m going to sign a bill in the next week or two that we are penalizing these contractors who are dumping illegal aliens into the state of Florida,” DeSantis said. “They will face ramifications for doing that. But I did get $12 million in this budget, so that if Biden is busing illegals from the border to Florida, we have money to reroute these people to Delaware and other places – and that is exactly what we are going to do.”
