Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is taking fire from all sides.
He’s facing one jaw-dropping hoax about his record in Florida.
And Ron DeSantis just shut down this massive deception by Donald Trump.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis became a conservative superstar for standing up to the pandemic tyranny pushed by the public health elites led by Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Former President Donald Trump is trying to distance himself for his support of lockdowns and promoting Fauci.
He’s been continually attacking DeSantis’ record during the pandemic after he launched his latest Presidential campaign.
Trump said he wasn’t a big fan of Fauci during an interview with Megyn Kelly and accused the Florida Governor of loving him.
“I was not a big fan of Fauci,” said Trump. “If you look at Ron DeSanctimonious, he was — this guy said the greatest things [about Fauci]. I can give you articles that ‘Fauci’s great, he’s wonderful, we love him. We don’t do anything without Fauci.’ This went on for months.”
“But he didn’t listen to Fauci,” Kelly replied.
Trump claimed that DeSantis “100%” listened to Fauci while he shut down Florida including suggesting that people get the vaccines.
Kelly noted that Florida was only shut down for one month.
And DeSantis fired back at Trump over his attacks against his pandemic record during an interview with radio host Steve Deace.
“I think it’s important to say that that is different from what Donald Trump used to say,” DeSantis explained. “I mean, he used to praise Florida for having been open. He used to say I was one of the country’s great Governors. He said we handled COVID correctly and brilliantly. So he used to say that — he was on record, always saying that. Now, because I’m a threat to him, that’s why he’s now changing his tune.”
Trump actually warned DeSantis not to reopen too quickly during the spring of 2020.
“But some of the things he’s saying are just bald-faced lies,” DeSantis continued. “We never mandated mRNA COVID shots. In fact, I called a special session of the Florida legislature to prevent any mandates in the state. And not just by the state government or local government, we provided protections for employees at private businesses, which a lot of establishment Republicans basically were saying businesses should be able to do whatever they want.”
Deace pointed out that South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, who recently endorsed Trump, was one of the “establishment Republicans” who was fine with allowing businesses to enforce vaccine mandates.
“Kristi Noem told her own constituents, in July of 2021, that if you don’t want to work for a company with a vaccine mandate, just go get another job,” Deace said. “She said that publicly.”
DeSantis said the media constantly attacked him when he opened up Florida for not following the Trump White House’s directives.
Now Donald Trump is getting desperate by attacking Ron DeSantis over his sterling record for standing up for freedom during the pandemic.
