Donald Trump is running for President again in two years.
The only remaining question is whether or not Trump will face a serious challenger for the GOP nomination.
And Ron DeSantis just took one major step towards running for President in 2024.
No other Republican even comes close to reaching the level of popularity Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis have with GOP voters nationwide.
Donald Trump has all but officially announced he is running for President again in 2024.
The only question for Trump is whether or not he will declare his candidacy before or after the November Midterm elections.
Ron DeSantis is facing his first re-election for Governor this fall.
But with DeSantis enjoying rock star status among Republican voters, many are speculating that he is planning to run for President in 2024.
Ron DeSantis says his only focus is serving the people and winning by such a large margin that Florida turns into a solid Red state.
Even though DeSantis claims he’s given no thought to a Presidential bid, he is making all the moves that a potential contender would make.
In May, DeSantis attended a fundraiser in South Carolina with several high-dollar Republican donors.
DeSantis raised money in states like Wisconsin and California.
And he also attended Nebraska’s annual Steak Fry, which is a conservative gathering hosted by Governor Pete Ricketts that featured other prospective Presidential candidates.
On Wednesday, DeSantis fueled even more rumors that he is planning to run for President in 2024 by traveling to Utah for a day filled with high-dollar fundraisers.
Utah is a stronghold for the Republican Party.
“The state is known to be a GOP stronghold; Utah voters have picked a Republican for president in each of the past six elections,” CNBC reported, adding that “former President Donald Trump beat Joe Biden in the state by 20 percentage points in 2020.”
According to a few of the attendees, the 2024 Presidential race never came up during any of DeSantis’ talks on Wednesday.
Instead, he spoke about Critical Race Theory, battling Disney and the woke Left, as well as standing up to Fauci and Biden’s COVID tyranny during the pandemic.
Morgan Treft, who attended the breakfast fundraiser, summed up the Governor’s comments as “we’ve had it with the woke-ism.”
But even though he didn’t mention running for President, many of the attendees are certain that is the reason for his visit on Wednesday.
“You think he’s in? (the Presidential race)?” 2News asked Amy Wolfe, who attended a luncheon at Deer Valley’s St. Regis Hotel.
“Why else is he here?“ she replied.
DeSantis may say that he is only focused on serving the people of Florida and getting elected to a second term.
But he is certainly taking all the steps a potential 2024 Presidential contender would make at this point.
And as DeSantis Daily previously reported, his previous fundraising totals from outside Florida show he’s got a national base to build on should he choose to run.
DeSantis Daily will keep you up-to-date on any new developments in this ongoing story.
