The media keeps searching for ways to take down Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
But left-wing activists in the press come up short every time.
And now Ron DeSantis just wrecked the media with this command performance.
The latest manufactured media “scandal” about Governor DeSantis involved DeSantis’ time in the Navy JAG corps.
One of DeSantis’ assignments involved being stationed at Guantanamo Bay where one of his duties was to field complaints from the suspected terrorists held at “Club Gitmo” about illegal treatment.
When DeSantis traveled to Israel as part of his foreign trip, a reporter confronted him with accusations from Yemeni citizen Mansoor Adayfi that DeSantis was present in 2006 when guards at Guantanamo Bay force fed him to break a hunger strike, an act that the United Nations considers torture.
“I don’t remember exactly when DeSantis came because we had no watch, no calendar, nothing,” Adayfi told The Independent. “He came to talk to us along [with] others – medical staff and interpreters. And we explained to him why we were on hunger strike. And he told us, ‘I’m here to ensure that you get treated humanely and properly.’ We were talking about our problems with the brothers, the torture, the abuses, the no healthcare.”
DeSantis showed why Republican voters consider him one of the two frontrunners for the GOP nomination when DeSantis savaged the reporter for buying into a preposterous story and closing by accusing the activist reporter of being more interested in narrative than truth.
“Do you honestly believe that’s credible? It’s . . . 2006, I’m a junior officer, do you honestly think that they would’ve remembered me?” DeSantis responded.

DeSantis supporters suspect Adayfi came forward with these allegations in November because that is when DeSantis scored his landslide reelection win that catapulted him to the top of the 2024 polls.
Conservatives expect their elected officials to treat the media like the pack of Democrat Party operatives that they are.
Reporters do not operate in good faith and will spread any lie or smear that they think will give Democrats a momentary advantage over Republicans.
Ron DeSantis’ refusal to play the media’s game and treat so-called “reporters” like the enemy is why DeSantis is a rising star in the Republican Party.
