Ron DeSantis made an offer to Donald Trump that no one saw coming

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is jabbing back at Donald Trump.

He caught the former President off guard with one decision.

And Ron DeSantis made an offer to Donald Trump that no one saw coming.

The Republican Presidential Primary is in full swing and former President Donald Trump is nowhere to be found on the debate stage.

Trump skipped the first two Primary debates and is vowing to skip the third debate in Miami, Florida.

It’s an open question if he’s going to attend any of the Primary debates this election cycle.

But Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is trying to goad the former President onto the debate stage with a surprising offer.

He said Trump owes it to GOP voters to show up to primary debates and make his case to be the nominee.

DeSantis added that he would even allow Trump to use a teleprompter on the debate stage.

“I think he owes it to the voters to show up,” DeSantis told reporters in Iowa. “I think it’s a different guy in ’23 than he was in 2016.”

The Florida Governor has been hammering Trump for not being the same candidate that took the political world by storm during his first Presidential campaign.

“I think he was energetic, free-wheeling back then,” DeSantis continued. “I think it was really about America first. Now, I think, you know, he’s on the teleprompter. Most of the stuff he’s talking about is about himself.”

DeSantis has ramped up his attacks on Trump for leaning on a teleprompter during his rare public events this Primary season.

He said that Trump has tripped all over himself with miscues when he ventured off the teleprompter’s script, such as claiming that the terrorist group Hezbollah was “smart” and attacking Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“I think he should debate, and I’m willing to allow him to bring his teleprompter to the debate if that’s what he wants to do, and we will just do it like that,” DeSantis said. “But he should be on that stage in Miami and subsequent debates.”

It remains to be seen if the Florida Governor’s shot at Trump will lure him onto the debate stage in the future.

The DeSantis campaign unveiled a Trump Accident Tracker on social media to highlight the former President’s gaffes when he veers off script.

Ron DeSantis is stepping up his criticisms of Donald Trump with the first set of Primary contests early next year quickly approaching.
