Conservatives have waited years for this moment.

Abortion-on-demand is no longer the law of the land in America.

And Ron DeSantis made it absolutely clear how he believed the Supreme Court should’ve ruled on Roe v. Wade.

On Friday, in a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.

Of course, Democrats, members of the corporate-controlled media, and leftists across the country are infuriated over the ruling.

The pro-abortion group “Jane’s Revenge” is even promising a “Night of Rage” in cities nationwide.

But Florida Governor Ron DeSantis praised the decision, saying that “the prayers of millions have been answered.”

“The prayers of millions have been answered,” DeSantis said in a statement. “For nearly fifty years, the U.S. Supreme Court has prohibited virtually any meaningful pro-life protection, but this was not grounded in the text, history or structure of the Constitution.”

“It will certainly save lives, but I also think it’s important as an expression of our values, that every one of these kids count,” DeSantis also said about the decision.

Of course, DeSantis has long advocated for overturning Roe.

Last year, he joined ten other Republican Governors on a brief to the Supreme Court arguing that the Justices should reconsider the Roe decision.

Now that Roe v. Wade is overturned, the issue of abortion will be decided by each individual state.

DeSantis said he would “work to expand pro-life protections” in Florida.

“Florida will continue to defend its recently-enacted pro-life reforms against state court challenges, will work to expand pro-life protections, and will stand for life by promoting adoption, foster care and child welfare,” DeSantis said.

Before Roe was overturned, DeSantis had already taken action at the state level to protect the life of unborn babies.

In April, DeSantis signed a bill into law banning most abortions in Florida after 15 weeks.

“This is a child that deserves protection,” DeSantis said about the 15 week abortion ban he signed. “You have a beating heart, [the baby] is capable of feeling pain. When they do these abortions, particularly at that stage, I mean, they’re literally dismembering the unborn child. So it’s really horrific.”

DeSantis is expecting challenges from the Left over the 15 week ban on abortions.

And he vowed to “continue to defend Florida’s recently-enacted pro-life reforms against state court challenges.”
