Florida and Germany forge "Team Freedom" alliance targeting tech supremacy
Ron DeSantis and German Ambassador Jens Hanefeld signed a Joint Declaration of Intent that establishes Florida as a key partner in countering China's stranglehold on critical technologies.
The deal came out of DeSantis' June 2025 trade mission to Germany.
Now it's official.
Florida and Germany are teaming up on semiconductors, photonics, aerospace, cybersecurity, and life sciences.
You know, all the stuff China desperately wants to control.
Hanefeld didn't mince words about what this partnership actually means.
"By expanding collaboration in strategic technologies, aerospace, life sciences, and research, we are not only helping our businesses — we are strengthening our competitive edge as Team Freedom over those who don't want our model of democracy and free enterprise to succeed," Hanefeld stated.
Team Freedom.
That's diplomatic speak for "China and Russia can pound sand."

The numbers show Florida crushing it while Biden's economy tanks
Florida's economy hit $1.8 trillion under DeSantis.
That makes Florida the 15th largest economy in the world if it was a standalone country.
Trade between Florida and Germany jumped 12.1% in 2024 to $7.2 billion total.
Florida exports to Germany shot up 27.6% to $1.4 billion.
Germany is now Florida's seventh largest trading partner.
More than 200 German companies already operate in Florida with over 37,300 jobs.
Germany ranks as the third largest foreign direct investor in the state.
All this happened while Biden's America stumbled through inflation and recession fears.
The timing couldn't be better for DeSantis to lock in this partnership.

This Germany partnership positions DeSantis as a major player in Trump's economic strategy.
Trump designated gangs as terrorist organizations and deployed the National Guard to clean up Democrat-run cities.

Florida already has the infrastructure to support this vision.
