Ron DeSantis revealed one brutal truth about San Francisco that the Left refuses to admit

Apr 29, 2022

Ron DeSantis turned Florida into an “oasis of freedom” during the pandemic.

As a result, U.S. census data shows Florida’s population is booming.

And Ron DeSantis revealed one brutal truth about San Francisco that the Left refuses to admit.

In 2021, 211,000 people moved to Florida to enjoy Ron DeSantis’ pro-freedom policies.

In New York, where some of the most strict COVID rules and regulations were in place, the population shrank by 400,000 according to new U.S. Census numbers.

Of course, many Republicans in Florida are concerned that residents moving to Florida from places like California will bring the same left-wing views with them that turned places like San Francisco into what Ron DeSantis calls a “dumpster fire.”

Ron DeSantis recently addressed these concerns, pointing out that more Republicans have moved to the Sunshine State than Democrats.

“I’ve had more Republicans move into Florida than Democrats move into Florida, and so, that’s pretty significant,” DeSantis began. “I think what that’s telling me is that people are very sensitive to the state governments that they live under. I think COVID opened a lot of people’s eyes because, literally, who your Governor was, was the difference between your kid even being able to go to school at all.”

However, DeSantis did admit that the concerns were legitimate.

“There is cause for concern,” DeSantis said.

DeSantis then pointed to Austin, Texas, as the most recent example of this occurring.

“Texas would have all these companies moved from California over the years,” DeSantis said. “So you’d have companies move from San Francisco to Austin, and they’d bring hundreds of employees with them,” DeSantis continued, before adding, “and those employees would vote the exact same way they voted that turned San Francisco into the dumpster fire that it is.”

As DeSantis noted, far too often those on the Left fail to make the connection between the “leftist” policies and the problems they are leaving behind in California.

“It’s like leftism, they will not draw the connection between their leftist ideology and the destruction that’s all around them,” DeSantis said. “It is a problem because I do think there’s a class of voters who would come to Florida, and they would continue to vote the same way.”

Right now, more Republicans are moving to Florida than Democrats, which is actually turning the Sunshine State from purple to red.

But as more and more folks flee places like California and New York, there is always the chance that they bring their failed policies with them to Florida.
