Crime is surging in Democrat-controlled cities all across the country.
Ron DeSantis spoke to law enforcement officers in New York, Illinois, and Pennsylvania on President’s Day.
And Ron DeSantis revealed one brutal truth about skyrocketing crime that Democrats refuse to accept.
Ron DeSantis has made law and order a top priority of his administration during his time as Governor.
DeSantis ripped Democrats for trying to defund the police and offered signing bonuses to law enforcement officers who relocated to Florida.
He also took a stand and removed a pro-crime prosecutor installed by George Soros from office.
On Monday, DeSantis attended events with law enforcement officers in suburban Philadelphia, in New York City’s Staten Island, and in Elmhurst, Illinois to showcase his support for the police.
DeSantis’ visit to the Big Apple triggered New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
“Welcome to NYC, @GovRonDeSantis, a place where we don’t ban books, discriminate against our LGBTQ+ neighbors, use asylum seekers as props, or let the government stand between a woman and health care,” Adams wrote on Twitter. “We’re happy to teach you something about values while you’re here.”
Democrats Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker was also triggered by DeSantis’ speaking to officers in Elmhurst.
“Well he doesn’t represent the values of the people in Illinois,” Pritzker said. “In fact, he is the antithesis of that,” he continued, before adding that “he’s demonstrated that he’s homophobic, that he has tendencies to promote racism.”
Of course, Adams and Pritzker were triggered because they know DeSantis is pointing attention to the failures of their soft on crime policies.
“We’re grateful to be here to deliver a very important message, a message about safe communities, the rule of law and about standing by the people that wear the uniform and put themselves at risk to protect us,” DeSantis said.
DeSantis touted the bonuses given to law enforcement officers in Florida and encouraged others to relocate to the Sunshine State.
“We want to let people know we’re here,” DeSantis said. “We’ve got a lot of great benefits. You’ll be appreciated and you’ll have policies that work.”
But then Ron DeSantis exposed the brutal truth about why crime is surging in Democrat-run cities.
“The reason why you have crime that has spiraled out of control in so many of these different areas is because you have politicians putting woke ideology ahead of public safety,” DeSantis said.
DeSantis said Democrats push “ludicrous” laws like eliminating cash bail.
“You guys just did that,” he told the crowd.
Ron DeSantis is using his popularity to call attention to failed Democrat policies in some of America’s biggest cities.
And the Left is furious with him for it.
