The media has become the public relations arm of the Democrat Party.
Journalists want to bury the biggest scandal of the new year.
And Ron DeSantis revealed one ugly truth about the media no journalist will speak in public.
Ron DeSantis levels the media for making Los Angeles fires about Donald Trump
The wildfires raging in Los Angeles, California exposed the incompetence of Democrat politicians at every level of government in the state.
Firefighters ran out of water fighting a blaze in Pacific Palisades after a reservoir that was supposed to have more than 100 million gallons of water was completely dry.
California Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass both cut their firefighting budgets ahead of the catastrophic wildfires.
For journalists, the story is not about the failure of California’s Democrat politicians, it’s about President-elect Donald Trump.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis ripped the media to shreds over its coverage of the California wildfires during a meeting of Republican Governors at Mar-a-Lago.
A reporter asked him if it was appropriate for Trump to criticize California’s handling of the wildfires.
“Is it appropriate for people in your industry to try to create division and to try to create narratives anytime these things happen?” DeSantis asked. “Now, you’re not as interested in doing that because Newsom is a D. If Newsom was a Republican, you guys would go try to, you would have him nailed to the wall for what they’re doing over there.”
DeSantis told the reporter he had dealt with these dishonest tactics in Florida.
“We just assume in Florida, anytime something happens, it’s going to be politicized by the media,” DeSantis said. “So you guys sitting in judgment of Donald Trump, I mean, excuse me, I think your track record of politicizing these things is very, very bad.”
The media is making the story Donald Trump instead of Democrats failures
The reporter tried to claim that there was a difference between Trump and President Joe Biden because Biden did not attack DeSantis for how he managed disasters.
“Well, but what I’m telling you is you guys are trying to make an issue of it,” DeSantis stated. “When I have watched from this seat, in fact, when I got elected governor, I was meeting with some of the other Republican Governors and what they would say is, ‘Hey, if you have a natural disaster, just know media’s coming at you.’”
He noted that Mayor Bass would be raked over the coals if she was a Republican for her stunning failures.
“That mayor of L.A., if that were a Republican mayor, I can only imagine what that would do,” DeSantis said. “I mean, you know, the fires are at high risk and you try to go to Africa or wherever she was to go on some type of voyage.”
Bass traveled to a Presidential inauguration in Ghana after she was warned by meteorologists that conditions were ripe for a wildfire.
“You should have been there preparing and doing that. And yet I don’t see a lot of heat being directed in that thing,” DeSantis explained. And so, you know, I just, I’d like to see some balance on how this is, this is done. You could criticize the President-elect, but I think you also have to hold these other people accountable. And I have not seen that.”
Journalists believe that their job is to do damage control for Democrats and turn the story into Republicans’ reaction to their failures.
