Ron DeSantis revealed the one concern he has about Elon Musk potentially moving Twitter’s headquarters to Florida

Twitter owner Elon Musk wants to move the company out of left-wing California.

Musk is considering Florida as the company’s new location.

But Ron DeSantis revealed the one concern he has about Elon Musk potentially moving Twitter’s headquarters to Florida.

Billionaire businessman and Twitter owner Elon Musk admitted as recently as last November that he would support Florida Governor Ron DeSantis if he runs for President in 2024.

“Would you support Ron DeSantis in 2024?” one Twitter user asked Musk.

“Yes,” Musk replied.

Musk is currently thinking about moving Twitter’s headquarters out of San Francisco, California after Democrats turned it into a high-tax, high-crime state.

Florida Congressman Carlos Giménez would love to see Musk move the headquarters to the Sunshine State.

Giménez previously sent a letter to Elon Musk proposing he relocate Twitter’s headquarters from San Francisco, California, to Miami, Florida.

“I am writing to you as the former Mayor of Miami-Dade County who now has the distinct honor of representing my community in Congress,” Giménez said in the letter to Musk. “We want to encourage you to explore our Free State of Florida and make the move to relocate Twitter to Miami-Dade County.”

However, Ron DeSantis has a major concern with moving Twitter to Florida.

His concern is over Twitter’s woke employees moving to Florida with Musk.

During a recent interview with conservative journalist Benny Johnson, DeSantis expressed his concern over woke Twitter employees.

“Could Elon move Twitter to Florida?” Johnson asked DeSantis. “Would you support that?”

DeSantis said he knows Elon, “and basically what I would tell him is, ok, if you’re going to move Twitter to Florida, are you bringing woke employees to Florida or are you bringing just your people?”

“If it’s just his people, then it may be good,” DeSantis added.

DeSantis noted that Musk “did fire a lot of people at Twitter” so maybe the woke staff are gone.

He explained his reasoning for being concerned about Twitter employees who live in an “intellectual cocoon” where “woke ideology infuses everything.”

“And over the last many years, they’ve been exporting that ideology via these social platforms all the way around the world,” DeSantis said. “And it’s really, I think, infected politics, culture in a very negative way.”

He applauded Musk for taking over Twitter and restoring free speech and truth on the platform.

“So I really applaud him for taking over Twitter and trying to [move] it back towards facts and truth, and stop always parroting the ideology and trying to censor beliefs that conflict with it.”
