One of Joe Biden’s biggest mistakes was naming Kamala Harris as his border czar.
Harris oversaw a crisis where over six million illegal aliens – a population greater than that of all but 19 states – entered the country.
Now matters are set to get worse as Title 42 expires on May 11 and the Border Patrol estimates 700,000 illegal aliens are lined up waiting to cross into America once the authority to quickly expel them back to their home country goes away.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is showing other Governors how they can fight back against Biden’s dangerous open borders agenda.
DeSantis signed sweeping legislation expanding the use of E-verify to crack down on employers hiring illegal aliens, authorized millions of dollars for flights to fly illegal aliens from Florida to sanctuary states, and allowed prosecutors to charge individuals who transport illegal aliens to Florida with human trafficking.
But DeSantis is not stopping there.
During a recent press conference DeSantis offered to help secure the border by using Florida’s resources to help build the wall.
Former DeSantis spokeswoman Christina Pushaw noted that on DeSantis’ watch the state of Florida rebuilt the Pine Island bridge in three days following Hurricane Ian last fall.

DeSantis is weeks away from announcing his Presidential campaign.
Polls show DeSantis trailing Donald Trump for the nomination nationally.
But these same polls also show DeSantis defeating Joe Biden in a General Election matchup.
If DeSantis is to win the GOP nomination, he will have to convince Republican voters that he is the candidate who can deliver victories on the policies they care about.
DeSantis’ ability to oversee the rebuilding of a bridge in three days after a hurricane obliterated it is one way DeSantis can show voters that when his administration sets about to build something it gets the job done in record time.
Americans know border czar Kamala Harris failed to stem the illegal immigration crisis.
DeSantis is pitching himself as a can-do conservative who will immediately set about solving this problem.
And DeSantis has the receipts to prove it from his time as Governor of Florida.
