Ron DeSantis helped Republicans win a supermajority in the state legislature with his 19-point re-election victory.
The Governor just revealed his conservative agenda for 2023.
And Ron DeSantis set his sights on the Democrat Party’s sacred cow with this one bold promise to reporters.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is considered a top contender for the Republican Presidential nomination in 2024.
But DeSantis is currently keeping his plans for 2024 close to his chest and instead focusing solely on his second term as Governor.
Armed with a supermajority in the state legislature, DeSantis just released his “Framework for Freedom” budget and agenda for the New Year.
Democrats and their media allies flew off the rails over DeSantis’ education proposals that take a sledgehammer to the Left’s woke ideology in Florida’s schools.
DeSantis’ education proposal ensures core courses are rooted in Western tradition, eliminates DEI/CRT bureaucracies, bolsters civics-focused institutes at several universities, and includes additional accountability for tenured faculty.
His “Framework for Freedom” budget proposal includes $141 million in tax relief for small businesses, two back-to-school tax holidays, a 14-day disaster preparedness tax holiday, a seven-day tool tax holiday, and a 15-week Freedom Summer tax holiday.
During a press conference on Wednesday where he unveiled his budget proposal, DeSantis took questions from reporters after he finished speaking.
But the reporters at the press conference had questions about issues outside of the budget proposal.
The reporters wanted to know if DeSantis supported Constitutional Carry and a 6-week “heartbeat” abortion bill.
“I’ve said on both of those that we are for Constitutional Carry, we’re for pro-life,” DeSantis said. “I urge the legislature to work, produce good stuff, and we will sign.”
Of course, abortion is the sacred cow of the Democrat Party, as they support unrestricted access to it up until birth and sometimes after.
Democrats were already furious about the law DeSantis signed last April that bans abortion after 15 weeks in Florida.
Planned Parenthood of Southwest & Central Florida, the American Civil Liberties Union, and several other abortion providers have already filed lawsuits against the legislation.
The heartbeat bill DeSantis just promised to sign would prohibit physicians from performing or inducing an abortion if a fetal heartbeat was detected.
Ron DeSantis was already a top enemy of the Democrats due to his willingness to stand up and fight back against the Left’s woke ideology.
But Democrats consider abortion a sacred right.
And DeSantis promising to sign a heartbeat bill into law will make the Democrats and their media attack dogs ratchet up their rhetoric against him even more.
