Ron DeSantis spoke one sentence to Tucker Carlson that will turn everything upside down

Leftists flex their cultural and corporate muscles to try and impose their will on the rest of America.

But some conservatives are fighting back.

And Ron DeSantis spoke one sentence to Tucker Carlson that will turn everything upside down.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is leading the fight pushing back against woke corporations.

DeSantis appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show to explain his latest push to ban environmental, social, and corporate governors (ESG).

ESG is how woke corporations play politics by threatening to withhold investments unless states adopt the Left’s woke agenda.

DeSantis told Carlson that in the 2023 legislative session he would support bills to ban the state pension fund from investing in any companies that practice ESG.

“First, we’re going to do through Florida’s state pension system a flat ban on any type of ESG. And, as you say, they like to wiggle around. It’s basically a way for them to do politics,” DeSantis told Carlson. “So, we’re going to make sure that fiduciary duty is defined very clearly and that they stick to that.”

DeSantis also addressed the recent trend of financial institutions and payment processors refusing to do business with conservatives by explaining that part of DeSantis’ reforms would be a flat ban on companies discriminating against Floridians based on their political views.

The Florida Governor told Carlson that the state “also wants to provide protections for people in the financial marketplace from being discriminated against based on ideology. I mean, we have seen Wall Street banks discriminate against contractors who are involved in helping us against illegal immigration or against firearm manufacturers, things they don’t like,” DeSantis continued.

DeSantis declared he wanted Florida run by the working class values of the city of Destin as opposed to the woke, globalist ideology of Davis.

“And it’s really an end-run around democracy, where they’re trying to impose these things. And, here in Florida, I want to be governed by the values of Destin [city in Florida], not the values of Davos,” DeSantis added.

Corporate ESG is a backdoor means to impose the Green New Deal and DeSantis warned Carlson it was important for states to push back against this destructive ideology with every tool possible.

“I do think there’s some of these CEOs, Tucker, who really like to exert power over the rest of us. And that’s what we’re doing. It’ll be a disaster for our economy, of course, with [what] we have seen with the energy. But to have the economy politicized this way, that’s a recipe for disaster,” DeSantis concluded. “But then, also, it takes power away from the American people and lodges it into these international corporate titans. And that’s not, I think, what our Founding Fathers ever intended.”
