Ron DeSantis was caught by surprise when he heard these nine Republican officials in Florida were in Iowa with Donald Trump

The Iowa Caucuses kick off the 2024 Republican Presidential Primary on February 15.

This makes Iowa a top priority for Republican candidates.

And Ron DeSantis was caught by surprise when he heard these nine Republican officials in Florida were in Iowa with Donald Trump.

As part of his recent campaign reboot, Ron DeSantis shifted the majority of his resources to the early Primary states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada.

DeSantis is also campaigning aggressively in Iowa.

According to The New York Times, DeSantis has already visited 30 counties in Iowa and is planning on hitting all 99 before the Caucus.

DeSantis has also developed a good relationship with Iowa Republican Governor Kim Reynolds.

After Donald Trump ripped Reynolds over her decision to remain neutral in the GOP Primary, Ron DeSantis stepped up and defended the popular Governor.

“I mean, she’s one of the top public servants in America,” DeSantis said about Reynolds, before adding that “I thought the attacks on her were totally, totally out of hand, and totally unnecessary.”

But now Donald Trump is hoping to embarrass DeSantis at the Iowa State Fair.

The Iowa State Fair is a major event for GOP candidates during Presidential election years.

Governor Kim Reynolds is hosting a “Fair Side Chat” with Republicans Ron DeSantis, Tim Scott, Nikki Haley, and Mike Pence.

Donald Trump refused to participate in Reynold’s “Fair Side Chat.”

Instead, Donald Trump decided to bring nine members of Florida’s Congressional delegation with him to the Iowa State Fair.

Florida Representatives Gus Bilirakis, Byron Donalds, Matt Gaetz, Carlos Gimenez, Brian Mast, Cory Mills, Anna Paulina Luna, Greg Steube, and Mike Waltz will attend the State Fair as supporters of Donald Trump.

The latest polls show Donald Trump with a 25-point lead in Iowa over second-place DeSantis.

Since DeSantis is ramping up his efforts in Iowa, Trump is hoping to embarrass DeSantis by showing up with nine supporters from his home state.

But in a post on social media, the DeSantis War Room responded with two words that show the Governor could not care less what Trump does at the Fair.

“Rent free,” the DeSantis War Room wrote.
