The Left and their comrades in the media tell us there is no such thing as the grooming of children by the LGBT community.
But they fight tooth and nail to stop legislation that forbids it.
That’s why Ron DeSantis was grinning ear to ear after a Florida gay pride parade was canceled for one shocking reason.
As the 2024 speculation heats up for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, he continues to take on, and win, the tough fights.
Set to sign yet another pro-family bill
That’s why the radical Left is so afraid of Governor DeSantis and why their attacks on him have increased.
It’s also why one Florida city canceled a gay pride parade and restricted another LGBT event to people who are 21 and older.
And they did so just in anticipation of Republican Governor Ron DeSantis signing a Florida bill that protects children from lewd and overtly sexual displays.
Florida’s Senate Bill 1438 overwhelmingly passed both Houses of the Florida legislature and is on Governor DeSantis’ desk awaiting his expected signature.
The bill, which prohibits exposing children to “adult live performances,” wouldn’t take effect immediately, even after a DeSantis signature.
But just the very thought of the bill becoming law was enough for the group Pride of the Treasure Coast to announce on Facebook that a scheduled parade had been called off.
The group’s other event called “Pridefest” will also now not be admitting people under the age of 21.
“We will need to be on the side of caution”
“As all of you know, the political climate that we are currently in has us all very concerned for our community,” Pride of the Treasure Coast wrote on Facebook.
“The city has decided that with the likelihood that the Governor will sign the latest bill . . . we will need to be on the side of caution and has [sic] required us to make this necessary change,” the group added.
Maybe if radical LGBT activists would stop insisting on exposing little children to perverted acts, this legislation and others like it wouldn’t be needed.
But since they insist on continuing what amounts to child abuse and in some cases even sexual assault in the name of “gay rights,” it’s good to know there are elected officials like Ron DeSantis unafraid to stand up and fight back.
In fact, Pride of the Treasure Coast even admitted it was “upset and [disheartened]” that children will not be allowed at its festival.
Protecting children
SB 1438, which is known as the “Protection of Children Bill,” is intended to protect Florida’s children from viewing scenes and acts of vulgarity.
It defines “adult live performances” as “any show, exhibition, or other presentation in front of a live audience which, in whole or in part, depicts or simulates nudity, sexual conduct, sexual excitement, or specific sexual activities . . . lewd conduct, or the lewd exposure of prosthetic or imitation genitals or breasts.”
The bill, once it is signed by DeSantis, will prohibit cities from awarding permits to drag shows or similar events where children are present.
It will also allow the state to revoke the food and beverage licenses of any businesses that hold such events.
Now all eyes are on DeSantis to see if he is ready to bring that fight to the nation’s capital.
