Sean Hannity heard one message about Florida that left Democrats with a sinking feeling

Florida has become the epicenter of the conservative movement in recent years.

The state is poised to play an outsized role during the new administration.

And Sean Hannity heard one message about Florida that left Democrats with a sinking feeling.

Ron DeSantis destroys Gavin Newsom over his handling of the Los Angeles wildfires

President Donald Trump is the first Florida man to become Commander-in-Chief.

His administration is filled with officials from the Sunshine State like Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Attorney General nominee Pam Bondi, and White House Chief of Staff Susan Wiles.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is ready to have his state do its part to help enact the Trump agenda.

He slammed his rival, California Governor Gavin Newsom, over his response to the Los Angeles wildfires and contrasted it with Florida’s “future way of thinking” during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s Hannity.

“Seeing what’s happened in California shows the failures that we were talking about that night unfortunately exacerbated a really horrific situation,” DeSantis said.

DeSantis was referencing his 2023 Fox News debate against Newsom moderated by Sean Hannity.

“They have not managed that well,” DeSantis explained. “Water resources or forest management. And it is the ideology that has kept up with that. That’s kind of the past way of thinking. Florida’s the future way of thinking.”

Newsom was criticized for his response to the wildfires which included pretending to talk to former President Joe Biden on the phone to avoid a confrontation with a woman.

DeSantis has been praised for providing the gold standard of leadership in response to natural disasters with his handling of hurricanes.

DeSantis says Florida is ready to help with the Trump agenda

The Florida Governor blamed California for becoming a failed state on Newsom’s watch during their 2023 Fox News debate.

“You almost have to try to mess California up. That’s what Gavin Newsom has done since he’s been governor,” DeSantis said at the time. “The reality is they have failed because of his leftist ideology.”

Newsom has vowed to fight the Trump agenda including resisting any effort to deport illegal aliens residing in the state.

DeSantis said that the American people will notice a “huge contrast between a state like Florida, which takes seriously its responsibility to uphold the laws and wants to work constructively with the new administration, and a state like California, which is going to double down on failure.”

DeSantis has already called for a special session of the Florida Legislature to pass policies to help the Trump administration carry out his policies of mass deportation.

The Florida Governor said his state will “do our duty” to help Trump implement his agenda and urged other states to join the effort.

“California is a sanctuary state. LA’s a sanctuary city,” DeSantis explained. “They’re going to fight him every step of the way. They’re not going to cooperate. In Florida…we’re not a sanctuary state. We banned sanctuary cities my first year as governor.”

DeSantis vowed that Florida would put resources into helping round up illegal aliens to deport.

“We’ve been talking as Republicans about illegal immigration in the border for decades,” DeSantis said. “Now is the time to put up or shut up. President Trump can’t do it alone. He needs Congress to be supportive, and he needs the states to step up and supplement their efforts.”

Florida is ready to be the tip of the spear for Donald Trump’s mass deportation operation.
