Sources close to DeSantis just let the cat out of the bag about his choice for a Presidential running mate

Ron DeSantis’ plans for 2024 have been a topic of debate for the last few months.

But with DeSantis now all but guaranteed to enter the race, the conversation is turning to the Vice Presidency.

And sources close to DeSantis just let the cat out of the bag about his choice for a Presidential running mate.

Political eyes nationwide are zeroing in on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis ahead of his expected entry into the 2024 GOP Presidential Primary.

After spending the past three months focusing on passing his agenda through the state legislature, multiple inside sources are reporting that DeSantis will officially file his Presidential paperwork with the FEC next week.

DeSantis’ decision to focus solely on the legislative session paid off, as Republicans passed several pro-freedom bills into law.

Earlier this week, DeSantis signed a bill that made it illegal to perform sex change operations on or give puberty blockers and hormones to children, a bill that penalizes businesses for allowing kids to attend drag show performances, and a bill restricting the use of woke pronouns in school.

Of course, those are only a small fraction of DeSantis’ accomplishments this session.

From the Second Amendment to abortion to illegal immigration to the Communist Chinese influence in America, DeSantis racked up several victories that he can tout to voters on the campaign trail.

DeSantis’ willingness to fight the Left on the issues conservatives care about made him a rock star in the GOP nationwide.

Most political pundits and experts agree that DeSantis is the only Republican who poses a threat to Donald Trump for the nomination.

DeSantis currently has the support of a few former Trump administration officials like Ken Cuccinelli, who now runs the Never Back Down Super PAC.

But rumors are circulating that DeSantis may have the support of one of Donald Trump’s closest allies and former Press Secretary.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders served as Press Secretary for Donald Trump from 2017 to 2019.

Huckabee Sanders is currently the Governor of Arkansas and gave the official Republican response to Biden’s State of the Union Address earlier this year.

According to RadarOnline, DeSantis wants Sarah Huckabee Sanders as his Vice Presidential running mate.

“Ron DeSantis is determined to recruit Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders as his running mate before making a formal announcement on his 2024 Presidential bid, sources close to his campaign told RadarOnline.com exclusively,” RadarOnline declared. “Insiders claim that DeSantis has set his sights on the former Trump press secretary to be his VP pick after she won the race to become the state’s first female governor in November, succeeding Gov. Asa Hutchinson who served in the role since 2015.”

RadarOnline wrote that the source claimed that DeSantis allegedly “really only has one strong choice: Sarah,” before adding that “he is desperate to lock up his running mate before he makes his formal announcement.”

“He would announce his VP candidate very soon afterward,” the report added.

Of course, this would come as a surprise to Donald Trump, who remains allies with Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

But Ron DeSantis is also friends with the Arkansas Governor.

And RadarOnline reports that sources claim she believes “Ron DeSantis is the man.”

Only time will tell if DeSantis will team up with Sanders.

But if they do team up, Donald Trump will not be happy about it.
