Democrats and the left-wing media are determined to take down Ron DeSantis.
Despite two years of nonstop attacks and smears from the Left, DeSantis cruised to an easy re-election victory over Democrat Charlie Crist last week.
And now the first poll taken after the Midterms shows why Ron DeSantis is the new top enemy of the Left.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is by far the most popular Republican elected official in America.
Even before his landslide victory last week that turned Florida into a solid red state, DeSantis was considered a top 2024 Republican Presidential contender.
Republican voters first rallied behind DeSantis during the pandemic when he stood up to the federal government by lifting the lockdowns and banning masks and vaccine mandates.
DeSantis then showed Republicans that it was possible to fight and win against the Left’s woke ideology.
He removed Critical Race Theory from the curriculum, prohibited biological males from participating in women’s sports, and put an end to leftists grooming children with the Left’s woke transgender and homosexual agenda.
DeSantis also put Democrat hypocrisy on the border crisis on full display for the public by sending two planes of illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard.
By the time the Midterm elections rolled around, DeSantis had garnered rock star status in the Republican Party.
Outside of Donald Trump, no Republican in the country enjoyed the level of support nationwide among the GOP base as Ron DeSantis.
Naturally, this led to talks of Ron DeSantis running for President in 2024.
However, DeSantis refused to talk about 2024 and stayed focused on his re-election campaign.
But after DeSantis led Republicans to a massive victory last week at a time when the GOP underperformed elsewhere, even more people are calling on the Florida Governor to run for President in 2024.
In fact, the first poll taken after the Midterm elections shows Ron DeSantis is now the frontrunner for the Republican nomination.
According to a poll by YouGov, DeSantis is now leading Donald Trump 40.9% to 39.4%.
This is a huge reversal from last month when the same poll found Trump leading DeSantis by 10 points, 45% to 35%.
Among GOP-leaning independents, DeSantis is leading Trump by seven points, 42% to 35%.
“More Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents now say they’d prefer DeSantis (42%) as their 2024 presidential nominee over Trump than say they’d prefer Trump to DeSantis (35%),” the survey found. “That’s a reversal from nearly a month ago, when — according to a Yahoo News/YouGov poll of U.S. adults — just 35% preferred DeSantis and 45% said they preferred Trump.”

DeSantis was already a top enemy of the Left before he became the frontrunner for the GOP nomination.
But now that he’s on top, the Left fears him even more.
And they are certain to come after him like never before.
