The corporate-controlled press is doing everything they can to destroy Ron DeSantis.
They will even use the tragedy of Americans to try and beat him up politically.
And The View’s Joy Behar and CNN’s Don Lemon launched vicious attacks on DeSantis during Hurricane Ian.
Even before Hurricane Ian slammed into southwest Florida as one of the worst storms to ever hit the continental United States, the left was gearing up their attacks on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Specifically, they were hitting DeSantis on his opposition to the so-called “climate change” panic.
The fact of the matter is, until Hurricane Fiona (which ripped apart the Canadian maritime) and the devastating Hurricane Ian, this has been an unusually mild hurricane season with only about two weeks left to go.
But as usual facts don’t stop the leftist agitators on TV from trying to attack DeSantis.
Before the storm hit, The View’s resident dame of disgust Joy Behar lit into DeSantis on climate change.
Specifically, she hit him on a quote he made about the climate change hoaxers.
“According to NPR, Florida’s climate challenges are among the biggest in the country. Hurricanes intensified by climate change, rising sea level, extreme heat and drought, and this one is the worst one, health threats from mosquito-born diseases,” Behar began.
“This is the quote from Governor DeSantis about climate change, quote — ‘I am not in the pews of the church of the global warming leftists.’ This is what he thinks about climate change,” Behar said, adding that “his state” was about to get hit with one of the worst hurricanes they’ll ever see.
Behar also said DeSantis could have used some of the money spent to send migrants to Martha’s Vineyard to help with Hurricane Ian, claiming with absolutely no evidence at all that the cost of sending the migrants was $12 million.
Behar, as she usually does, ignored any facts, data, or science in attacking DeSantis.
Of course, if she had used science and facts, she wouldn’t have been able to launch any attacks.
Just look at what happened to CNN’s Don Lemon when he tried to coax the acting director of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) National Hurricane Center to discuss the effect climate change had on Hurricane Ian as it was preparing to hit the Florida coast.
NOAA’s Jamie Rhome joined CNN’s Don Lemon Tonight to talk about Hurricane Ian.
Not surprisingly, Lemon asked Rhome what effect climate change has had on the strong Category 4 hurricane.
To everyone’s surprise, Lemon was shut down by the acting director.
“We can come back and talk about climate change at a later time. I want to focus on the here and now. We think the rapid intensification is probably almost done. There could be a little bit more intensification as it’s still over the warm waters of the eastern Gulf of Mexico, but I don’t think we’re going to get any more rapid intensification,” Rhome said.
Lemon kept pressing, “Listen, I’m just trying to get, you said you want to talk about climate change. But what effect does climate change have on this phenomenon that is happening now? Because it seems these storms are intensifying. That’s the question.”
“I don’t think you can link climate change to any one event. On the whole, on the cumulative, climate change may be making storms worse. But to link it to any one event, I would caution against that,” Rhome said.
And that was that.
Lemon was once again shut down by someone using facts and science.
The devastation of Hurricane Ian is all too real, but despite their best attempts, the leftist mouthpieces can’t link it to their climate change fantasies.
And they certainly will have a hard time using it to attack DeSantis who has so far done a fantastic job preparing for and organizing an effective response to this devastating storm.
