This Florida Man Tried to Bribe the Cops Who Caught Him Impersonating ICE at a Polling Site

Oct 9, 2026

Steve Bannon spent months calling for ICE at the polls and the Left nearly had a stroke.

Now a Brazilian national just showed up to a Miami polling station in a full ICE raid jacket.

And what this Florida man did when the real cops arrested him is something Democrats will never let you hear about.

What Danilo Silva Did at Miami-Dade College

On Sunday, October 4, Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office detectives were already stationed at Miami-Dade College's Kendall Campus – an official polling location for Brazilian nationals voting in their country's presidential election.

That's when they spotted Danilo Alves Silva, 46, of Port Saint Lucie.

He was moving aggressively between voting buildings in a blue ICE raid jacket, a blue ICE hat, sunglasses, a camouflage face mask, and tactical boots.

He was also carrying a handheld radio and announcing his position over it.

Voters panicked.

The arrest report states people at the site were in fear that, as they described it, an ICE agent was interfering with their election and might deport voters.

When a confrontational voter and a man with a camera approached Silva and called him out, Silva got aggressive.

That's when detectives moved in.

When asked if he was a federal agent, Silva said no.

When asked for ID, Silva said he didn't have it.

Then he told detectives the entire getup – jacket, hat, mask, boots, radio – was a prop costume purchased on Amazon.

His explanation: he had voted earlier in a Brazilian jersey, slipped back to his car, changed into the costume, and came back to film people's reactions on his phone.

“The people were gathered and were clearly in fear that, as they portrayed it, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement ICE agent was interfering with their election, possibly deporting individuals,” the arrest report reads.

He Offered Detectives Cash to Let Him Walk

Being caught wasn't the low point.

Silva threatened detectives – telling them they would regret the arrest and that he would come after everyone on scene.

Then he tried to buy his way out.

"I will get you paid if you let me go," Silva told detectives, according to the arrest report.

He also allegedly told them, "We will pay you money" if they released him first.

Silva is now facing felony voting intimidation, bribery, threatening a public servant, unlawful use of police insignia, and disorderly conduct.

Bond was set at $5,650, which he posted.

His first court appearance is October 19.

The Irony Democrats Cannot Touch

For eight months, Democrats screamed that ICE anywhere near a polling place was an assault on democracy.

Brennan Center lawyers vowed to litigate.

Congress drafted the "Democracy Without Intimidation Act" to ban federal agents from polling sites entirely.

Here's what they won't say out loud: the voter intimidation law they've been waving around – that's the exact law that just put Silva in handcuffs.

Not an ICE agent.

A man in an Amazon costume who bribed cops.

The sheriff's detectives who made the arrest – the same local law enforcement Democrats spent 2020 trying to defund – identified the threat and had Silva in a cruiser in minutes.

No new legislation required.

Democrats manufactured a crisis out of ICE at the polls.

A man just got arrested for manufacturing that exact fear, and the system handled it without Congress lifting a finger.
