Disney’s gone full woke and picked a fight with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
But Ron DeSantis refuses to back down.
And you won’t believe what scares everyone at Disney about Ron DeSantis.
Disney released a statement opposing the Florida Parental Rights in Education Bill, which prohibited teachers from sexualizing children in grades K-3 with age-inappropriate lessons about transgenderism and homosexuality.
Not only did Disney oppose the bill, but Disney demanded either the legislature repeal the law or the court’s strike it down.
“Florida’s HB 1557, also known as the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill, should never have passed and should never have been signed into law. Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts, and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that,” the company said Monday after it became law.
Disney employees also planned a walkout and corporate executives held a virtual town all where they expressed their support injecting the radical homosexual agenda into kid’s programming.
But what really scares Disney about this fight is the support for the law within Disney.
Joe Castillo works as a resort duty manager at Disney and is running for Congress in Florida’s Ninth Congressional District.
Castillo told Fox News Digital that the woke employees that bullied Disney into opposing the Parental Rights in Education Bill are a loud minority of company employees.
“There is immense pressure to toe the company line,” Castillo stated. “However, the reality is that those drawing attention to this issue are in the minority. The Disney cast members who support the parental rights defended by H.B. 1557 far outnumber those who are protesting against it.”
There is much truth in that statement.
The Daily Wire obtained a letter from an anonymous group of Disney employees expressing their support for the Parental Rights in Education Bill.
“Over the last few weeks, we have watched as our leadership has expressed their condemnation for laws and policies we support. We have watched as our colleagues, convinced that no one in the company could possibly disagree with them, grow increasingly aggressive in their demands,” the Disney employee’s letter reads.
And polling data shows by a 55 to 29 percent margin Democrats support the Florida legislation.
Disney knows it took an extreme minority position on a culture war issue.
The “House of Mouse” torched their reputation for producing family-friendly entertainment.
And now Disney is slowly realizing the majority of their own employees stand with Ron DeSantis on this issue.
