Blue states are doing everything in their power to thwart Donald Trump’s immigration agenda.
They have taken aim at his efforts to remove violent illegal aliens from the nation.
And Donald Trump was grinning ear to ear after Florida teamed up with the Trump Administration on immigration in one unprecedented way.
Nearly 800 illegal aliens arrested in massive Florida ICE operation
In an unprecedented move, Florida has partnered with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to launch “Operation Tidal Wave,” a massive multi-agency immigration enforcement crackdown that has already yielded significant results.
The operation marks a major escalation in the collaboration between federal and state officials to address the illegal immigration crisis that exploded under Joe Biden.
According to Fox News, ICE Miami and Florida law enforcement agencies arrested nearly 800 illegal immigrants during just the first four days of Operation Tidal Wave.
The operation has targeted dangerous criminals, including a convicted Colombian murderer, alleged MS-13 and 18th Street gang members, and even a Russian with an Interpol Red Notice for manslaughter.
This massive federal-state initiative has received “extraordinary support” from Customs and Border Protection (CBP), as officials described the operation as “highly successful” in a statement posted to X.
The Trump administration has made it abundantly clear that cracking down on illegal immigration remains a top priority in his second term.
The Department of Homeland Security is pulling out all the stops to enforce immigration laws and reverse the damage done by the previous administration.
Operation Tidal Wave is being seen as a model for how state and federal authorities can work together to carry out President Trump’s agenda.
Florida firmly establishes itself as Trump country
Florida’s enthusiastic participation in this operation demonstrates its full alignment with the Trump administration’s immigration policies.
It further cements Florida’s status as not only a deep Red state but Trump Red through and through.
Governor Ron DeSantis has been outspoken about supporting Trump’s efforts to identify and deport undocumented immigrants, especially those with criminal records.
He has repeatedly emphasized that state resources will be used to enforce immigration laws and protect Florida’s communities.
The partnership between Florida and the Trump administration signals a growing trend of states actively assisting in federal immigration enforcement rather than obstructing it.
The DHS has been aggressively implementing measures to streamline and accelerate deportations as part of President Trump’s mass deportation agenda.
Fox News reported that the arrests included dangerous criminals like Jose Sanchez Reyes, a Colombian illegal immigrant who was convicted of homicide in his home country, and Rafael Juarex Cabrera, a Guatemalan illegal alien and alleged MS-13 gang member who has illegally reentered the U.S. three times.
Another dangerous criminal caught in the operation was Savva Klishchevskii, a Russian illegal alien with an Interpol Red Notice for vehicular manslaughter.
Perhaps most alarming was the capture of Aron Isaak Morazan-Izaguirre, a Honduran illegal alien described as a “known or suspected terrorist member of the 18th Street gang” who has allegedly reentered the U.S. illegally two times.
Sending a clear message to sanctuary states
Operation Tidal Wave isn’t just about the number of deportations – it’s about sending a crystal-clear message to states that continue to harbor illegal immigrants.
The Trump administration has repeatedly stated that illegal immigration undermines national security and public safety.
By targeting dangerous criminals with deportation orders, especially those identified as gang members and violent offenders, the operation prioritizes the removal of those deemed threats to American communities.
The collaboration between Florida and ICE demonstrates how state law enforcement plays a critical role in Trump’s mass-deportation efforts.
This approach stands in stark contrast to sanctuary states like California and New York, which actively obstruct federal immigration enforcement efforts.
The Fox News report highlighted this stark difference, noting that two judges were arrested this week for allegedly hiding illegal immigrants from ICE.
Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Hannah Dugan was charged with obstruction of an official proceeding and concealing an individual to prevent discovery and arrest, allegedly for shielding a migrant from ICE agents.
Additionally, Former Doña Ana County Magistrate Judge Joel Cano and his wife were charged with evidence tampering amid allegations they harbored a member of Venezuela’s violent Tren de Aragua gang.
With Florida leading the way in cooperation, the administration hopes other states will follow suit and join the federal government in enforcing immigration laws.
The success of Operation Tidal Wave could very well set the stage for similar operations in other states willing to partner with the federal government.
As the tidal wave of illegal immigrants that flooded into the country under Biden begins to recede, Americans can thank states like Florida for stepping up to protect our borders and communities.
