Zohran Mamdani sat behind George Washington's desk and trashed America on its 250th birthday.
Now Ron DeSantis just called him out – with the two questions every patriot in this country wanted asked.
What DeSantis said next should be on every billboard in America.
The Speech That Made Every Conservative's Blood Boil
On July 3rd, the newly elected socialist mayor of New York City delivered what his office billed as a "major address" for America's semiquincentennial.
He called America a "city of contradictions."
He attacked Elon Musk by name for letting children go to sleep hungry while the world's first trillionaire "hungers for more."
He condemned ICE, the officers enforcing this country's laws.
He invoked "oligarchs."

It was less a birthday tribute and more a hostage video with American flags in the background.
And then Ron DeSantis asked the two questions that cut straight through all of it.
"If a foreigner hates America, fine," DeSantis posted on X. "But why then become a citizen here? Better yet, why would the US allow someone to become a citizen who hates the country?"
Simple. Direct. Devastating.
Be a Coolidge, Not a Mamdani
That wasn't the only shot DeSantis fired.
Speaking live on Fox News with Sean Hannity from Mount Rushmore – the same backdrop Trump used to call communism the greatest threat America has ever faced – DeSantis went after Mamdani's entire worldview.
"When I see the Mamdanis of the world, they are essentially offering these ideas," DeSantis said. "They claim they're progressive. They're really regressive. These are things that the Founding Fathers rejected."

Earlier on social media, DeSantis posted the phrase now spreading across the internet: "On America's 250th anniversary, be a Coolidge, not a Mamdani."
Calvin Coolidge – limited government, low taxes, American prosperity.
Zohran Mamdani – socialist mayor, naturalized in 2018, former rapper, paid organizer, card-carrying member of the Democratic Socialists of America.
The contrast writes itself.
The Desk He Doesn't Deserve
Here's what Mamdani will never say out loud.
The capitalism he attacked built the desk he was sitting behind.
The city he now runs was made possible by the very system he condemns as rigged.
He won the mayoralty of New York City in November 2025 with 50.4% of the vote – through a democratic process that socialism has never once produced anywhere on earth.
New York City has had bad mayors before.
Bill de Blasio spent years praising the Sandinista government in Nicaragua while collecting rents from his Brooklyn properties.
De Blasio openly wanted the power to control every piece of land in the city.
Mamdani wants to go further – and his endorsed candidates just swept three Democratic primaries across New York, signaling what is coming.
This isn't one socialist mayor.

This is a movement.
Why DeSantis Is Right and Mamdani Has No Answer
Elon Musk buried him in one sentence: "Mamdani has built nothing. He is a taker, never a maker."
Before entering politics, Mamdani's work history ran through advocacy organizations and a career as a rapper.
The man has built nothing.
He employs no one.
He has created zero wealth, invented nothing, and risked nothing – and yet he sat in the chair of a man who pledged his life and sacred honor to build this country from scratch.
He inherited a country he didn't build, took a citizenship he hadn't yet earned, and then used the most powerful platform in the city to lecture 330 million Americans about inequality – while sitting at George Washington's desk.
DeSantis is right.
And here's what nobody in the mainstream media will tell you: Mamdani isn't a fluke.
A DSA socialist just won the Democratic nomination for D.C. mayor.
Another is running for Senate in Maine.
They are coming for every major American city, and they are winning.
The desk Mamdani sat behind on July 4th wasn't a stunt.
It was a declaration.
The question is whether enough Americans are paying attention to stop what comes next.
