Byron Donalds Named the One Thing That Could Have Stopped 9/11 and Democrats Are Already Screaming

Sep 4, 2026

Three of the 9/11 hijackers trained to fly American passenger jets at Florida flight schools – and nobody stopped them.

Florida’s next governor just told his state exactly what has to happen so that it never occurs again.

And Byron Donalds just named the Democrat playbook that made 9/11 possible.

Donalds at The Villages: No Sharia Law, No Exceptions

Byron Donalds walked to the microphone and laid it out plain.

“Now, how do you prepare Florida for the potential of another 9/11?” Donalds asked. “The No. 1 thing I would say is we cannot have Sharia law take a foothold in our state. Absolutely not. Absolutely not.”

Governor Ron DeSantis already made that official.

In April, DeSantis signed legislation explicitly banning Sharia law in Florida.

The law blocks foreign courts, religious tribunals, and any legal provision that tries to bypass constitutional rights – it doesn’t exist in Florida, period.

But Donalds isn’t just talking about the law on paper.

He’s talking about the ideology behind the law – and what happens when politicians look the other way while that ideology spreads.

“We know what happens when you let radical Islam into your country,” Donalds said. “We have proof of it, looking at Western Europe today.”

Western Europe Ran the Experiment. Here Are the Results.

In 2024 alone, at least 16 Islamist attacks were recorded across the continent.

In January 2025, a man attacked a group of preschool children in Aschaffenburg, Germany – killing a 2-year-old toddler and a 41-year-old man.

In February 2025, an Afghan asylum seeker drove his car into a crowd of demonstrators in Munich, killing two people.

Prosecutors confirmed he had an Islamist motive.

Spain recorded 100 jihadism-related arrests in 2025 alone – the highest number since the 2004 Madrid bombings.

This is what Democrats want to import here.

His political opponents are doing exactly what European politicians did – playing nice, looking away, and calling anyone who speaks plainly a bigot.

“Democrats are playing footsie with the radical Islamists,” Donalds said. He’s not wrong.

The Democrat Party has spent years protecting politicians who openly sympathize with anti-American Islamist movements.

They cheered when Ilhan Omar compared America to the Taliban.

They stayed quiet when pro-Hamas protesters shut down college campuses.

They called it “free speech.”

Western Europe called it that too – right up until the attacks started.

The Florida Connection Nobody Wants to Talk About

Mohamed Atta – the operational leader of the 9/11 hijackings – lived in Coral Springs and Hollywood, Florida before the attacks.

He was pulled over by a Broward Sheriff’s deputy in May 2001 for driving without a valid license.

The case sat in county court for 13 years before anyone closed it.

Three of the four hijacker pilots trained at Florida flight schools – Huffman Aviation in Venice,

Florida Flight Training Center in Venice, and Airborne Systems Flight School in Fort Lauderdale.

They obtained pilot licenses and certifications. Nobody connected the dots.

“A lot of 9/11 was really information flow, or lack thereof,” Donalds said. “We had agencies that were siloing information at the federal level. People were not talking. And when people don’t talk, things can go wrong very, very fast.”

Twenty-five years later, the lesson is the same – but now we have proof of what happens when politicians add willful blindness to the mix.

What Donalds Is Actually Building

Donalds isn’t just diagnosing the problem.

After winning the Republican primary with Trump’s full endorsement, he’s now headed into a general election against David Jolly – a Republican-turned-Democrat who believes Florida’s conservative direction needs to be reversed.

The choice couldn’t be clearer.

Donalds is saying out loud what every Floridian who was alive on September 11, 2001 already knows: the threat didn’t come from nowhere, it was enabled – by open borders, by politicians afraid to name the enemy, and by agencies that refused to talk to each other.

DeSantis built the legal foundation.

Donalds is promising to enforce the culture that makes Florida impossible to infiltrate.

The 25th anniversary of 9/11 hits in a few days.

Democrats will hold vigils.

They’ll read names.

They’ll call for unity.

And not one of them will say what Byron Donalds said out loud at The Villages – because saying it means admitting they’ve been on the wrong side of this fight for 25 years.
