Disgraced former CBS Evening News anchor Dan Rather tried to lead a new smear campaign against Governor DeSantis over DeSantis standing up to woke indoctrination in education.
DeSantis forced the College Board to back down on an AP black history course that taught Critical Race Theory and woke concepts such as black pride, queer theory, and praise for Black Lives Matter.
DeSantis noted that students in Florida were all required to learn black history and that the point of the curriculum was to educate and not indoctrinate.
Leftists know DeSantis called their bluff as they see courses like the woke AP black history course as the key to brainwashing students into becoming the next generation of die hard Democrat Party voters.
Enter Dan Rather.
Rather – the pioneer of liberal activists who pretend to be objective journalists – tweeted that DeSantis’ insisting that children learn real history and not the Left’s propaganda was akin to the Jim Crow South of his youth.

Conservatives immediately slammed Rather as a known liar and purveyor of fake news.
“You’re a liar and a proven one at that,” Fox News contributor David Webb responded.
“You’re a shameful, partisan hack. And I’m so glad you’ll be remembered as such,” Seattle radio host Jason Rantz tweeted.
“Are the Democrats running out of Old White People to scream Racism? Bringing ole disgraced liar Dan Rather out on Twitter,” former GOP candidate for Texas Lt. Governor Aaron Sorell posted.
In the heat of the 2004 election, Dan Rather thought he had a bombshell that would destroy George W. Bush’s re-election campaign.
Rather aired a piece on 60 Minutes that purported to show documentary evidence that President Bush went AWOL from the Texas Air National Guard during the Vietnam War.
But this supposed “blockbuster” consisted of forged documents and quickly collapsed.
CBS fired Rather in disgrace.
In many ways, Dan Rather is the Founding Father of fake news.
